Love Maven's channel. I am a huge 90s-early 2000s wrestling fan but didn't have cable growing up, mostly played the games, and didn't even know who he was until I came across his channel. I've been rewatching WCW and WWF/E from 1993 on through Peacock for a few years now when I can. I've also watched almost every video Maven's released in the past year or so. Awesome guy with great insight into the industry back when it was at its peak. He has been through some stuff and came out better for it when he could easily gone the other way and I will always applaud and respect him for that.

Maven needs to give himself more credit. I was a diehard wrestling fan in my childhood but stopped watching it when I hit 18. I hadn’t watched the sport in over 15 years. However Maven’s KZbin channel not only got me interested in the WWE again but it got me watching wrestling again. His videos are so interesting and authentic. And I actually think he could have been a bigger star had he been able to do KZbin while wrestling. Because I see so many people in the comments going “I wasn’t a fan of Maven back in the day but now he’s one of my favorite wrestlers” or “I never knew he was this great of a guy. I really wish he was still wrestling”. We just didn’t get to see his real personality until now. I know he’s extremely humble and wouldn’t ever blame anyone but himself for his career. But I really do think he was wasted potential. However now he’s completely revived his career and he’s really re-energizing the sport in a big way. I really hope the WWE brings him back on as a commentator. Dude should be hosting their behind the scenes content and being incorporated in live recordings doing back room interviews etc. Seriously he’s such a star and they are missing out. But yeah he’s way too hard on himself. Although I do respect that he doesn’t have an inflated ego.
@DoubleLogD3 ай бұрын
As someone who screwed the pooch on a bunch of my own opportunities, I bet he is right that he didn't try hard enough. Not to say he isn't talented (those dropkicks are legit clean af), but if management sees everyone else at his level trying super hard to learn, and he's not trying as hard, that does tend to send a message that, even if he's more talented, he will top out lower than other guys for not pushing himself. That being said, you're right that Maven has CLEARLY worked on himself and grown a lot.
