I liked the review you did on the JX3 hybrid. Do you use it? Like it? Pros/cons? Thanks for your input.

Did you use the Maven in extreme cold? looking to see how well it works in sub freezing temps for when I go to Montana in the early winter. going back and forth between the Maven and the Razor HD 4000

The coldest I'd used it was in the 20s and snow. Hadn't used much in sub-zero

Can you just use it like a regular monocular to watch birds and watch Deers( if it’s so ) does it have to be charge to see through it thank you for your time I would like to know before I buy it
@DIYSportsman2 жыл бұрын
Yes you can use it like a normal monocular. The battery just operates the laser and display overlay. You could take the battery out even and still see through it..

@@DIYSportsman 🙏🤔 is it true range over 4000 Yard? The reason I’m asking this because I live in the mountains 🏔

Have you used the vortex 4000? If so how does it compare? I am struggling between the two.
@DIYSportsman3 жыл бұрын
I have looked through the Vortex 4000 and liked the appearace. They both seem to have good quality optics and very similar field of view, though I haven't viewed directly side-by-side. The "first and last" modes seem to be similar to how the scan works on the Maven, though you also have the "normal" mode to default to which is nice. I do believe you have to go into the menu to adjust brightness on that one, so that would be an edge to the maven, except that the vortex is more streamlined. So whichever of those criteria are most important to you.

Are you still still using your same arrow setup and EZV sight from last year?
@DIYSportsman3 жыл бұрын
I'll likely use the Garmin Xero mostly except for North Dakota where I'll use the EZV again. Or traditional. Arrow setup is very similar to the video I posted early this year except that I'm currently using 3 fletch LH vanes and Nockturnals instead of the modified FOB/firenock combo. 503gr ~18% FOC going 283fps.

What is the harness you attach your range finder to?
@DIYSportsman3 жыл бұрын
The Rick Young Outdoors bino harness. They make the main harness and also a little attachment specifically for a rangefinder that can quick release from the main shock cord: Check this out at Amazon Ultra-Light Binocular Harness Color Olive amzn.to/3lPGeJ8
