Back when the DVDs of the PPVs were released, the WWE got permission to use (and technically make money off of) certain songs on the PPV which would be redistributed. A different agreement is made for TV as they TV typically isn't intended for re-release - the WWE would have to pay a shit ton for each song with each appearance in royalties. It's just not worth it. Those agreements carry forward since PPVs are being redistributed as per the original agreement. That's why WWE does so much stuff in-house so they can control for these sorts of things

Hello professional wrestling fans. I just listened to this for the first time after he said he hated the theme. I fucking love this theme song. It really brings the character to life, and I wish the WWE took giving all of their superstars great theme songs again. Seriously, like using licensed theme songs. The WWE got me into Limp Bizkit because of The Undertaker and WrestleMania 19. This theme is a banger, and it really speaks to the us listening to it.
