I've been really loving Maven's channel since he launched a few weeks ago. I really appreciate the genuine insight that he gives us that grew up watching wrestling.

I worked in the indies around the same time Maven was in WWE. I spent about 6 years bumping every weekend, taking chairs to the skull, breaking tables with my spine, etc. Now I too have three bulging herniated discs, deterioration, a messed up neck.. I’m only 41.. I feel like the last three minutes of this video really spoke to me. Nobody really seems to understand the impact it has had on my life. Thank you Maven.

I constantly judge myself in how I managed my time in the days before my mother passed. I felt like I didn't do enough, wasn't there enough and it haunts me to this day. I wasn't a WWE superstar, I was managing a normal hectic life of work, kids and bills. The video of you hugging your mom really hit home. My brother was taken 5 years ago. We were throwing a huge surprise BDay for our grandma. Maven addressing the incident from 10 years ago when he was a bouncer in NYC is very classy. I am going to assume anyone reading my message knows about the Reddit post in question, which is still up and searchable on Google. The TLDR version is that someone recognized Maven in 2013 as he was bouncing and Maven told them to take off in a mean, not-so-Maven way. We can assume Maven looked this up as well, saw it, felt bad, and made this short apology in the first half of this video. Cheering you on Maven. 🙂

Maven, I grew up in England with the attitude era as my grand introduction into the world of professional wrestling; watching the likes of Austin, Rock, Mankind; hell, even Vince winning the title. Yet I remember you eliminating The Undertaker from the rumble as if it were yesterday. For someone to undergo a radical transformation from rookie to being forever etched into wrestling history with one move was awesome. Here we are all these years later and I'm hearing the tales you tell, the experiences you've shared with countless others, the highs and the lows. Your honesty and willingness to be open about everything that your career entailed is downright refreshing. I'm sure a lot of us have watched interviews/ documentaries about in ring careers and life on the road; but your take and general outlook on the whole thing is amazing. Keep providing us with this amazing content and insight into the world of a vastly underrated performer.

The funny thing is that after Maven eliminated him, Taker took Maven out of the ring but he didn't go over the top rope... meaning that Maven was never eliminated from the Royal Rumble. Based on that the match never ended that night, as Triple H wasn't eliminated either. One of them must have gone over the top rope at some time in a subsequent match though... It is possible that Maven was in fact the real winner.

I am dealing with the same exact pain and bulging/ herniated discs in the same regions of my neck and much like your experience it came out of nowhere like a, "slap in the face" and it also came in at the exact same time yours did, back in '17. Living everyday struggling to get out of bed in the morning really affects quality of life so I can sympathize with you there, brother. But knowing I have a family to provide for is what makes me push through it, and I have a very low pain tolerance. If you had a specific routine or exercise or stretch you do that alleviates some of that horrible pain I'd appreciate your advice, man. I used to watch you back in the day as a kid, I still even have your action figure somewhere in my old things.

I remember I was walking around in NYC and I just so happened to pass by that nightclub you mentioned and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw you sitting outside I was unexpectedly starstruck. I was a huge fan of yours and I when I addressed you you shook my hand and asked what my name was. I think I mentioned i had your action figure and feeling embarrassed and regretted saying that lol. It was a really great interaction and it made my night and made like you even more. You're such a genuine man.

I remember seeing Maven on HSN. I never got to see Maven as a kid on TV wrestling or in person because I was probably too young to remember or attend shows. My first exposure to Maven as wrestler was a few years ago when I watched New Years Revolution 2005. It’s weird how people you’ve never met end up being a part of your life no matter how small. Now I’ve watched all of your videos and I’ve been subscribed since the beginning of your KZbin journey. I can’t wait to see more. Very insightful stuff!!

Maven, I grew up in England with the attitude era as my grand introduction into the world of professional wrestling; watching the likes of Austin, Rock, Mankind; hell, even Vince winning the title. Yet I remember you eliminating The Undertaker from the rumble as if were yesterday. I'm sure a lot of us have interviews/ documentaries about in ring careers and life on the road; but your take and general outlook on the whole thing is amazing. Keep providing us with this amazing content and insight into the world of a vastly underrated performer.

Despite all of the difficulties that came from being a WWE wrestler, at least you're the first ever winner of Tough Enough. The man who eliminated Undertaker from the Royal Rumble 02, and got beat up by him, you're a former Hardcore champion, and almost won the World championship from Triple H etc. So nobody could take that away from you, you made your mark Maven !!

You were and are one of my favorite wrestlers, best drop kick of the business! And yeah Man the pain thing is not a joke. I took a German suplex from a rookie he pulled me wrong, threw me in my shoulder. My left shoulder went out of place. I can even see my bone moved out of place. And it hurts every cold morning I feel it. While I love wrestling, I’m not sure if I will ever come back.

Living with chronic pain is no joke. I totally understand Maven. Brother, I take 55+ pills a day due to my injuries from my military service. Do I have friends & family supporting me like my doctors keep thinking I do?! Oh, HELL NO!! I thank God for my beautiful and supportive wife!!! When you described your pain, I felt it. It’s what I go through daily. It’s been non-stop for me for at least: about 17-18 years now. I feel you. I feel bad I stopped watching WWE while you were on because I was deployed, but I’m learning a lot and enjoying your content. Thank you; thank you very much.
