HPI should be congratulated on this new Quantum2 truck, it is night & day better than the old orininal Quantum. I still have an original Quantum Flux from a few years back & still run it now & again, but most are aware of the durability issues with that truck. I have had the new Quantum2 Flux in the best color green of coarse for a few months now, it is a fantastic budget truck. One of the most durable 1/10 trucks you can buy in my opinion, It also drives pretty good as well & easy to drive for newcomers with little or no rc driving experince. The new radio is also better than the old radio as well.

I’ve been trying to talk myself into buying this truck for about a month. If it came with a lipo I would’ve pulled the trigger. Or even another edition that came with a lipo for like $300 they would’ve nailed it. The truck is mint it needs to be marketed better it’s very underrated. Cool video.
@Boogie_the_cat8 ай бұрын
I understand people buying their first truck want a lipo, but now that I own 5 lipo batteries, I'm happy to not pay extra for a lipo that comes with the truck. Plus, they'd include a terrible USB lipo charger that takes 5 hours to charge a 3s 2000 mAh lipo (not exaggerating) and so you'd be paying for crap. If you wanna be in the hobby you need a decent balance charger anyway for safety fast charging and long-term reliability.

Kinda newb here: what are the differences between having a slipper clutch vs the third differential?
@FullOnRC8 ай бұрын
@@just.jose.youtube 3rd diff just gives better overall handling. Doesn't impact an RC of this size too much. The version before this had three diffs so it is more to do with my own personal preference. After watching AMain Hobbies video. I must admit I want one more.
@just.jose.youtube8 ай бұрын
@@FullOnRC OK! Thanks! Ialso guess that a clutch will always divide power 50-50% for front ant rear axle... On the other hand, with a diff, some power may be lost on the axle with less traction, right?
@FullOnRC8 ай бұрын
@@just.jose.youtube Pretty much. There are all kinds of reasons why people prefer it TBH.. I think slipper clutches work best in 2wd to help power delivery to the two rear wheels. "Basher Brands" need to stop. They're not selling because a lot of people don't even know what they are or who they are manufactured by. If they just said HPI on the box and then called it a "Basher Series" or something, it would be much better. There's honestly zero reason to change brands other than making the suits happy. It does nothing for the hobby itself. You can still sort and catalog your product by UPC and such without alienating and confusing the customer. I like HPI, I've owned quite a few, but there's no reason to rebrand.

For being mostly plastic and steel parts, I think 275$ is a bit on the pricey side even for an RTR. Are there aluminum upgrades? Are the replacement parts east to find? I just think it’s worth more around $175 for the brushed and $199 for the brushless version.

the quality of their products went into the toilet. Almost $300 for a Chinese toy like RC, all flexible plastic and steel parts that’ll rust easy.
