Maverick R rock crawling on a 9 rated trail: "Iraq" obstacle on "The Fallen"

After a few hundred miles of getting used to the new Maverick R, the group I was riding with found ourselves on "The Fallen" trail. Against my better judgement, I decided to have a go at what may be the most technical obstacle I have tried to date.

The strange thing is I am not nervous during most situations such as these but my body reacts so unusually. I had terrible flop sweat after this obstacle! Hahaha

@@workmanallday2694I’m not so sure it would be able to do this obstacle. Need a ton of articulation and lots of clearance for this one. Would definitely like to try it though!

Do you think the low gear is low enough? Seems like a 33% reduction would suit rock crawling better? What’s your opinion

I absolutely think that it should be lower, yes. Frankly, I wish all the gears would be lower in low but I’m not a wizard so I have no idea how the magic inside that aluminum box they call a “DCT” works. Hopefully there’s a remedy to gear it down somehow whether through diff gears, in the transmission itself, or perhaps a set of portals.

We actually managed to get a stock teryx 4 up it too! With a lot of help from human ballast and some shoving, of course! I’m impressed by those things. They look like golf carts but man they do pretty damn well!
