Loved this place. Spent a week or so here at the height of Covid insanity. We visited Big Bend park on four days, played on the resort zip line, rode horses in the desert, went shooting at the great range that is set up like a movie set with cowboy town building fronts where you can shoot at targets through windows and doors. Rode our mountain bikes every day. Was a great stop along the border.

Wow! What a cool looking RV park. Well, heck, you gotta splerge sometimes! It makes the adventure even more of an adventure! lol and $50 is not too high on a nice place and, with all the hookups too. Nice office area, and I love the stonework with the added touch of the Lizzard hanging up on the wall. Cute sitting benches made with wagon wheels on the pourch to look out at the stunning landscape at the park. What a beautiful mountain !! Nice doggie park, but poor Milo...🐕...not much grass in there! lol Love the buildings with the longhorn cattle skulls around the roof at the laundry room. Nice tour Melody...you came in loud and clear !! WHOA, take a look at that pool ! Very refreshing looking! I was ready to jump in!!😂 Cool sitting roon, and decorated so nicely. Nice restrooms too. Your site was nice. I love the fence with the pillars made out of rocks ! Cool store, and did I hear you say, Prickly Pear...candy ??? and Prickly Pear..Wine ??, oh my, Ive never heard of those before, or even the prickly pear , Margarita ! Did you get to taste one? Have you had the candy or wine? I saw in the store, something called Ruby Redbird? was that beer? Never seen that either!! Cool looking resort, looked like a cowboy western town in the movies! Nice hotel, beautiful inside too . Loved the stairway coming down to the lobby. (I thought I might see, Miss Kitty any moment, walking down the stairs to see Marshal Dillon, lol) Very cool Saloon and restaurant ! and that was some awsome view man !!! Was that birds I heard chirping on the video in the background, or did they have parrots in cages there? Did you ever get a menu to look at? What did they serve, and was it too $$$$ Im glad you didnt dare Melody to jump in the fountain this time !! 😂🤣 Well, I see you opted out of dining there and went for the pizza. It looked good in the picture! Oooo, Melody had a bloody Mary....(Ive never seen it in a can tho). And you selected a Budweiser...always a nice choice! Outside the restaurant, when you went over to the amphitheater, what were the buildings up on the mountain, in the background?, and the building over to the left ? It looked like someones house? That was a really cool place to visit. So beautiful !! You did an excellent job of showing us around this resort !! I enjoyed it alot! Thank you ! vicky 😁

Prickly Pear Candy is made from the Prickly Pear Catus. We has some Prickly Pear Candy while visiting the Sagurao National Park outside of Tucson, Arizona. We really liked this soft sweet candy, but could not find the candy here.

We drove thru Lajitas in Feb 2020 but did not stop, such a ruggedly beautiful area, we do plan on returning to the area and spend some time in the Big Bend State Park. Thank you so much for providing this fantastic review of the RV park Lou. 🍻 Sean

Texas has the best rv parks. It’s huge there. Look at the space everyone has. To hear the park wifi works is phenomenal. The last park we went to in Texas was Lake Conroe. The laundry room at the Maverick Ranch looks amazing. It’s very clean. It’s less expensive then where I am now. That pool wow. Save a spot for me. Thanks for sharing.

Pretty spacious laundromat. Love the decor in the buildings. Some of those private campgrounds have so much to offer. The campsite is amazing, who would want to leave the site, lol. That is a very well stocked camp store. The Pizza looked amazing. Never had a Bloody Mary in a can. Fred was looking for the Tabasco sauce, horse radish and a celery stalk.😉Mary💕Fred

How is the drive into Lajitas? Steep? Winding? Thanks for the post!
@LivingOurDreamNow11 ай бұрын
Depends on your route. We accessed Lajitas via Big Bend National Park and Route US 385 to Fort Stockton and I-10. This route was easy with no steep grades. Lou

50 bucks is cheap, not really a splurge. Nice campground

Everything is relative. For us, this was a splurge.
@michaelfinley99888 ай бұрын
@@LivingOurDreamNow I guess it depends on how you are boondocking and getting power to run your rig. If I’m running a generator, it would cost probably at least $30-$40 bucks in fuel for a full day if it’s hot out, so $50 seems cheap for full hookups for such a nice campground.
