Just the family medical plan is $121.25 per week. Hope this helps. Shoot me an email, I can send you an attachment with all the details.

NIce video. I am looking into Maverick currently. I have driven for CFI, I am looking into getting back on the road since local is much harder to get. Do you find that they get you home when they say they will? The glass division states that you are out 12-14 days. I was out 6 weeks at a time with CFI.
@naturalborntrucker5985 жыл бұрын
They're good at getting you home. They claim a 98% success rate, which lines up with my experience. If you're regional and home weekly you might get stuck out 1-2 times per year. Glass guys often stay out many weeks or even months at a time from what I hear. If you can do 6 weeks out you'll be fine wherever you go.
@juanthompson80166 жыл бұрын
What's the $1000 a week guarantee that Maverick has? What's the stipulations?
@naturalborntrucker5986 жыл бұрын
If you're available to work every day and you get a check for less than $1000 Maverick fills in the difference. That's pre tax pay. You'd have to be in a pretty bad spot- a serious breakdown or something- to not get $1000 top line.
@kenmoore55565 жыл бұрын
You have to be available to drive for 5 of the 7 days in the week. It can go up to $1200 depending on your tenure and performance, but $1000 is the low.

Great videos, information, and spreadsheets. Can you explain how they do the per diem? How much vacation time/time off can you get. Was the vacation time you took paid? Wondering how you were able to get that much time off with less then 6 months in. Thanks
@naturalborntrucker5985 жыл бұрын
So per diem is basically a deduction. It reduces your taxable income. I'm looking at one of my checks just before the holidays where my truck broke down- gross pay due to the minimum weekly guarantee was $1,100. Per diem was $66/day x 7days = $462. So my taxable income is $1,100 - $462 = $638. I made $1,100 but only paid taxes on $638. The vacation I took was NOT paid. You get one week paid vacation per year after 1 year, which I'm coming up on here in a month, woot! As far as taking unpaid time off, they're pretty liberal. You get 12 "special requests" per year, and they don't care how long you stay home as long as it's less than 12 consecutive days, after that they might take your truck from you. If you're USA or glass and stay out 3+ weeks you can take unlimited "home requests" that don't count against your 12 special requests. The bugger of it is, of course, you don't get paid when you take time off. Once you get accustomed to those checks it gets really hard to put in for time off.
@BaccaratNation5 жыл бұрын
@@naturalborntrucker598 Thanks for the info. Great that they are giving the full per diem without taking a hit on your cpm as some other company's do (if they have it all).

@naturalborntrucker5985 жыл бұрын
I looked into oil fields a little bit and couldn't find much that didn't require 3-4 years experience. The pay is good, but you need the experience and from what I saw you had to live on site, and the living conditions sounded pretty terrible. Basically like living in a military camp.

It is a huge sacrifice. Typically home Friday afternoon/evening and leave out Sunday afternoon/evening. Sometimes home Friday leave out Monday, rarely home Saturday leave out Sunday. You’re home for a reset, not a weekend, and you don’t know until thurs or fri what it’s going to look like.

Hey, I've been looking at options starting off Trucking. I'm only 19 so I still have another whole 2 years to research what company I'd like to start at. At first I was considering Roehl, but Maverick seems to be the better option when it comes to cpm and has decent miles. You videos have been super helpful and thank you for sharing all of this information. Hopefully by the time I start you'll still working for Maverick and I can use your referral haha. One question though, if it's not a priority for me to have home-time at my home for lets say 1-2 months would that be an advantage?
@naturalborntrucker5985 жыл бұрын
It would be an advantage. You’d be looking at glass or USA divisions most likely if you came on to Maverick. I’m betting they’ll always be at the top of the list in terms of pay. Definitely look me up if you decide to come on board, no telling where I’ll be in 2 years. Good luck!
