Maverick X3 First Rip!!

Finally got some decent weather to take the X3 out for it's maiden voyage! WOW! What a fricken blast this thing is to drive! We have a truck load of parts coming our way in the next couple months, we should have our final build plan finished shortly so stay tuned for more vids. Should also mention that my new kubota rtv was bogging out plowing and it turned out to be snow getting into the intake. have to make a shield around the inlet. did the same to my older f350. my employee was complaining it was lacking pwr and its a v10, ya I new something was up. yup snow got into the air box

As much as i hated living in Alaska, drifting through the snow on a frozen pond was so much fun, until you realized how cold it was. Good stuff man stay safe.

Perfect break-in procedure by constantly varying the engine RPM, and I doubt it's going to get too hot in subfreezing temps!!

Great video. Interesting to see how snow gets packed in the intake like that. I'm sure the snorkels you are putting on it will take care of that problem all together. The snorkel set up should be interesting to see too. I've run new machines just like this with zero issues. Did it with my can am and when I took it to the dealer for the first break in service, they said everything looked good. Did the same when I had the Polaris too. Putting the engine under varying loads and a heavy load right out of the gate shouldn't cause any terminal damage. The factory QC's these too. So the engine has been tested. If it's going to fail, it's going to fail regardless. Can't wait to see what this thing turns out like.

Great footage of the Maverick by the Mavic! Don't forget to take that protective dome off for flights. It causes a lot of lens flare and blocks the cooling intakes. Happy ripping!
