she might’ve strategically made the steps match the number of beats before the first word so all she’d have to do is match the bpm when she walks. as you. can see, each time she walks it matches where the beat falls. it wouldn’t be a reach to say she might’ve did this. she’s a calculator.

Productions like this take several hundreds of people including people who built the stage, lights and literally every other part of the design and mechanics, band and dancers, costumers, hair and makeup, camera, people coordinating the entire show to make sure it’s perfect. I think people don’t realize how much it takes to pull of this flawless show. Beyoncé and her whole team is amazing!

It’s an incredible anthem & an incredible ode to Black American culture & its impact on mainstream American culture. The reason so many non-black people are overwhelmed with emotion is that Beyoncé knows exactly what she’s doing & curated a set of cultural touch points that elevate all who observe them. Even bad marching bad music is good, cuz it means a parade or that crisp fall air, but ooooh truly great marching band performance can convince you to join an army! Sousa may have much credit for the start of it but thank goodness HBCUs fixed it up so good.

That's how bands at predominantly Black high schools and HBCUs do their stand music. That is Black American culture. If you search Battle of the Bands, or Majorette dancers (the style of dance being done here) you'll see what I mean. There's a lot of historical reasons (stemming from the American Reconstruction era (after slavery was emancipated), Jim Crow/segregation and everything surrounding the civil rights era and the post civil rights era (which brought up the Black empowerment movement) that led to Black Americans (Black American Descendants of chattel slavery as opposed to Black from other countries that immigrated over after 1965) having their own unique culture within America, and that's what Bey showcased all throughout this entire performance (though the cultural aspects are lost on people who are not familiar with Black American culture). Even the orchestra and singers have their own personality, including each individual majorette dancer, but all vibe and bring their unique energy and movements into the music (like individual spirits merging into one collective). It's deep, baby.

I think having the vision of the overall set is admirable, but honestly, I'm not super impressed by Beyoncé individual performance. The presentation is grand but it's a bit deceptive as she has about at least 50 people on stage with her. None of her dance moves are complicated. Walking up and down a stairs is not a special talent. Sorry, but to me, visually the aesthetic is appealing but there's nothing in this that I'd consider HER to be the greatest live performer in this generation or any other before.

The saddest thing is that kids are will always want to defend performances that are so flat yet they were never alive to see other performances that are more lively ,it's a pity that Eminem delivers breathtaking performances with one dj and a hypman and raps for 1 hour ,and will entertain 100,000 people .God when did entertainment go south.
