Thank you! I have NEVER seen footage quite like this! I am new to the sport, window shopping right now if the truth were to be told. It felt like I was there. The waves were so, so huge! You guys are so brave and skilled - holy smokes! I am so, so inspired by your idea of how to have fun, your amazing skill, and heart-pounding courage. Thank you, again!

Truly appreciate what you guys do to get the footage on the web for everyone to see . I had the opportunity to shoot Mavericks from the cliff during the late 90's for the Men Who Ride Mountains contest . It's an amazing experience and HUGE props to these guys out there in the frigid ,shark infested waters . Recognition as well to the people behind the scenes that make sure all these surfers stay alive , safe and make it back out for their next session .

I remember watching the video of Mark Foo's last wave in the mid 1990's. That footage probably took about a year to get to southern Australia. It's truly amazing to sit in the same place today and watch people riding that beautiful wave, just a day or so ago.

100% agreed, that's why back then they were holding on for their lives, the technology wasn't there yet, everytime you were washed over the falls and the next set came rolling in might be your last, I am in no way condemning new safety measures, only stating that back in the late 80s early 90s each wave was a potential death sentence and these dudes paddled in and paddled or swam to safety, without these new safety measures Teahupo, shipsterns bluff and several other epic breaks would be next to unthinkable, even though some like laird Hamilton will surf vestless life is hanging in the balance waiting on the ski, nothing but respect for the people who ride these marvels go down and live to tell about it, all thanks to technology further making it possible and I look forward to the next videography of these rides and the surfer who claims it not film of the wave that claimed the surfer

Nice to see big wave surfing finally turning a corner, bringing small wave riding to the BIG stage, Kia Lenny nailed it as always. The technology is now there to advance the viewing, especially to those people new to Big Wave Surfing. More drone footage, close up and on board cameras can only highlight the impressive work being done by Powerline Productions and of course the super human big wave riders.
