The Mavs threw down a team-record 18 dunks on Thursday against the Jazz, the second-most by a team in NBA history. Led by Daniel Gafford's 10, everyone got in on the fun, even Kyrie Irving, who linked up with Luka Doncic on an alley-oop in the second half. As the Mavs continue their playoff push in the Western Conference, battling for the sixth seed with Kevin Durant's Phoenix Suns and De'Aaron Fox's Sacramento Kings, it's the best time to be playing your best basketball.

Great plays from Luka and Kyrie, but this was Daniel Gafford's game. He obviously wasn't 100% too, which made it all the more impressive. So far he's been a huge addition to the team, and if he keeps adding this dimension going forward the Mavs will be scary.

Luka could’ve passed more and not keep attempting those failed 3 point shots against the nuggets. It would’ve been a dunk fest and easier win, not having to rely on that miracle shot by Kyrie. Luka is finally learning to play as a team. Remember how he would score 40-50 points and still lose? Kyrie is showing him how to play faster and smarter and get others involved.

@@plumeria66 Agreed and that was my biggest gripe with Luka for the last 4-5 years is that his play style is not conducive to winning. Playing like Westbrook and Harden doesn't lead to wins in the playoffs, but Luka seems to be getting used to really getting others involved. There are nights he needs to take over and do his thing, but he is really learning to truly move the ball now and it can get very scary for the league if he continues down this path.

No reason why Hardaway should be playing over Hardy. Hardy is shooting better from 3, makes better shot-making decisions, and is a MUCH better playmaker. He is only 21, cheap for this season and next, and still developing. Maximize his development to either keep long term or trade for more assets. Rotation should be: Luka Kai DJJ PJ Gafford Exum Hardy Green Maxi Lively Surround Luka and Kai (two of the best scorers and playmakers in the league) with defensive-minded, athletic wings and bigs? Last night is what happens.

I agree, surrounding Kyrie and Luka with versatile wings and a big is the move forward, when it comes to a playoff rotation hardway cannot get minutes, I feel that exum and green might end up eating hardway and Hardy’s minutes im series against Teams that drive a lot or require better poa defense

​@@AndyCromer-kl9jz Oh for sure. They won't play 10 guys in the playoffs. Luka, Kai, DJJ, PJ, Gafford, and Lively are locked in. Kidd will likely use Exum, Green, Maxi, and Hardy/Hardaway based on matchups and who is playing well. Personally, I'd lock in Exum as the first guard off the bench. His defense, outside shooting, and playmaking are too valuable to keep off the floor. The other 3 likely fluctuate throughout the series and playoffs overall.

I'm convinced that the only reason THJ is playing over Hardy is that THJ has something on Kidd. THJ did have a nice little 6th man of the year run going, but outside of trying to up his trade value next summer, I just cant see why he ever plays over Hardy. I was stoked about the Gaff trade, and he's def showcasing what he can do playing with two elite PGs in Luka & Kyrie. DJJ def worth that vet min
