He had two nagging injuries, one of which looked like a season ended and yet he finishes in full form with elite efficiency. Hes dunking more, he’s smiling more, hes making every rotation, every closeout, every read, every pass, he’s hugging more. Hes Kyrie 2.0. And he’s got Luka Doncic to his right. Since the last time the Mavs faced the Clippers in the playoffs, it´s fair to say that Luka got better and has more experience, while Clippers players got older and worse. Add to that the fact that now Luka has a real SuperStar next to him, who already has a ring by the way, and who is thirsty to prove the media wrong. I think Kyrie going to have his best playoffs games of his life, and Clipper do not have a chance against Dallas, which is a much better team compared to past seasons.

I love kyrie and his game so much and what he means for basketball he’s one of the last players who not only play like it’s the early 2000’s but still wears his basketball uniform like it as well having slightly baggy shorts and shirt. The aesthetic then is just unmatched and the game was so much more flashy and visually pleasing then. Now it’s just pass and shoot the 3 it’s getting extremely boring but kyrie is still bringing that flair.

Dallas isn’t Flashy they play well within themselves it’s just “themselves” has a wide variety under control. Nobody closes out a quarter or a game like Luka or Irving their percentages go up when it’s time. Jokic is the only one similar. It’s definitely not that he’s so good people don’t get close enough to foul him. As a Mavs fan who’s watched every minute of Mavs ball this season he has one of the worst whistles I’ve ever seen. One factor could be that he doesn’t flop or even “sell” the foul one bit. Kyrie may look like he’s taking tough shots but he’s in control. Those are the shots that he’s comfortable with and he isn’t forcing anything. I think he plays best not being the 1st option and having someone that actually has the ball more for his scoring package to be at its peak. Best thing is if he doesn’t have it going for that stretch, Luka is there to shoulder the load.

@@efeezy7770 he can be a great #1 but in this stage of his career, he prolongs his body by playing with Luka and bringing the ball less. He’s played way more games this year and has been extremely effective. I don’t know how many games you watched this year but Kyrie has had bad stretches scoring before they figured it out the last 2 months. His conditioning and level of play has been elevated right after all star break and this is because he doesn’t have a huge load on his shoulder. Kyrie played too little games with KD and Harden. He was carrying the Nets for a good while there. Kyrie is 32 now and playing with Luka just allowed him to extend his career more close to the height of his powers.

Kyrie can score 30/35 easily. If he is covered a whole game by a healthy Kawhi, it would make It 25/28 which is still great, but better for the opposite team.

Washington will guard Kwahi, DJJ will guard PG. Green/Kleber can guard Harden and Russ. Gafford/Lively will guard Zubac. It ain't that hard. This is assuming that Kwahi even plays, which is a big assumption at this point. Not to mention you can't even use the season series as a measuring stick because the current Mavs team didn't play those games, as those games were played before the trades that brought Gafford and PJ.
