BASE Jumping from above... The guys jumping reckon it's safer than bungy jumping. Wasn't convinced myself. What's your thoughts? 😃

Hi! I happen to live near this bridge and my first drone, a Mavic Mini, arrives in the mail tomorrow. I can't wait! Nice videos!
@IaninLondon4 жыл бұрын
Hey Paul. This was incredible to film, but just watch out for the wind with your new Mini. The canyon has strong winds that could push the Mini of course and away from you. Watch my Mini tutorials and you'll be good 👍🏻👍🏻

Great video, what did your drone read when you launched from the bridge and the river was hundreds of feet below ??? Also return to home what did it use at Height to Return the bottom of the canyon or the bridge height ? Thank you
@IaninLondon5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! The drone handles negative altitude fine, so it did indeed show negative altitude when I flew down below the bridge height. The RTH altitude is always set at 30m or 100ft and that's relative to the take-off point, not the current altitude of the drone, so if it was at -50m, it would have risen up 80 m to get 30m above my take off altitude.Cheers, Ian

Thanks for another great video Ian , you said exactly what I thought haha, rather them than me. You did well to get the footage of it . Love the canyon shots, but flying under that metal bridge would’ve worried me a bit . Enjoy your trip, looking forward to the next video.
@IaninLondon5 жыл бұрын
Cheers Brian. I was nowhere near the bridge TBH, and even then I figure it's more masts and antennae you avoid; haven't ever suffered Mag Interference once airborne from flying near metal. Yet. :)

Nice footage that mate. I got the mavic air and struggle to see it in the air most time without getting any real distance from me , need to get out and practice more , especially flying it home manually if I loose sight of it ! Topic for a Vlog maybe !
@IaninLondon5 жыл бұрын
I think most Mavic owners rely on a friend to keep an eye on where it is at all times. Also nothing wrong with initiating a RTH then immediately cancelling it once it's set the direction 👍🏻

@IaninLondon5 жыл бұрын
@@andyhemus2964 aren't we all 😎. But fully agree with you... What got me was how some of them jumped out over land, not the river below. To me, that river was always going to be better than hard ground if something went wrong!
