Haha don't feel bad about your age and this is your first lol mine also at 65 . Makes me remember thous old fox's airplanes you had too hold the little yellow plastic controller with the 2 strings tied to it and then to the plain and have someone start the engine . Remember them well on cold cold days when the propeller would sometimes get you finger 🤣😃

Shetonya biggins You make an excellent point. I have flown my Mini only a hand full of times in the past few months. I must say that if you are the least bit interested in owning a first drone I highly recommend this model. Video is very very good and everything is easy to take with you. If you are creative and have some extra time it’s very possible to create some stunning video footage. For me all of that will be a learning curve in addition to being a good pilot and maneuvering the drone. It is a rewarding feeling to takeoff fly around and come back with some awesome video. Even though I don’t fly as often as I’d like to I think I made a good investment. Something really interesting to have at my disposal. I am in fact glad I purchased the Mimi

This is the second of your videos that I've watched, and both have been very helpful. I just bought the Mavic Mini used from a friend of mine, but first he let me play with it. Before I even walked out the house, I found your "beginners" video and watched that, and was able to launch and fly the drone without incident. Now that I've purchased the drone, I just watched this video, which is the perfect sequel to the "beginners" vid. Thanks for taking the time to make informative and enjoyable videos.

Hi there just one more thing, if you have the Fly More Combo you must update the firmware on all three batteries, the one you use in the Mini for the first komplett update is of course updated at the same time, you are prompted to update the other two wenn your use them for the first time. I’ve been flying the Mavic Mini for my travel vlog and that annoying beeping during RTH drives me crazy.. now I know I can .. turn it OFF 😝 thanks!

I dont think you van shut the beep off, if you hit the RTH button while it is in RTH mode, you will stop the RTH.

When i download and replay my videos, splashed across the screen are the gps coordinates, speed height etc etc. How do i get rid of these, or are they just for my info and not seen if i share the videos with others ? A short press on the RTH does not stop the beeping, it cancels the RTH

You should always use mode 2 for your transmitter. That way you learn how to use that mode which will train you to be able to use different transmitters that are mode 2 such as Rc planes or helicopters or different types of drones like race drones.

I've seen people trying the short press but all that does is cancel the RTH. So yes it mutes the beeping but it also cancels the RTH. Not speaking from experience but from what I've seen in other videos.

It's probably possible, but it's generally not a good idea, as that overheats the battery, which is not how you want to treat it. Haven't read instructions in full, but it's possible they tell you not to to avoid even an explosion risk.

I'm enjoying your tutorials on the Mini and its a lot of good information to absorb. I'd like to make one observation though...the overhead light's glare on the phone screen is very distracting and sometimes obscures the screen controls you're demonstrating.

Another tip: if your controller beeps constantly after a firmware update, reclaibrate the joysticks from the settings menu. The beeping really stressed me out when i first powered up my drone - brand new drone, constant beeping and nothing on the app to tell you WHY!

Your video tips are great and very well explained. The only con is when you explain something on the phone screen, you tilt the phone up causing a reflection from the ceiling light and can't really see the screen.

I'm waiting for a gimble protector and some leg extensions like ski's from front to back the back leg before I fly and I'm going to put the prop guard on iv read they break easily, the arms and props, I didn't get the care fresh intime so I'm going to be super careful untill I'm confident which isn't like me but you live & learn, just got the mini combo it was only £259 how could I not 3 batteries smart charger, I hope what I'm doing isn't overkill, great video though it made me feel easier about flying, tnx.

From what I know the obstacle avoidance is hardware that was removed from the Mini to make it less than 250g.

Sweet video thank you, we just sold our spark today looking at one of these in the fly more combo now, the air is a little pricey i think if we are going to mainly run 1080 60p so it matches up with our gopro footage our pc isn’t enough of a beast to edit 4 k yet.
