Nice vid. You forgot a key advantage though. If you are recording aerial and non-aerial footage with the same camera, it makes for easy colour correction in post.

All of you videos so far with the Mavic Pro have helped me in some way, so thanks for that. I love my new Mavic. It has replaced my heavy tripod, boom/jib,slider etc in most cases. But I was wanting to use the Mavic indoors and no fly areas. I'm finding walking not smooth at all, and even in your footage walking in your back yard towards the trees, your saying its so smooth, I can see just about every step that you took. Been watching lots of videos on this and most if not all are bouncy when walking. That said its still better than walking around with a camera with no stabilization. I'm not convinced with this product as of yet. I just don't think DJI intended this as walk around gimbal, too bad.

Great video. I'm amazed at how much more the flying Mavic is versus the handheld. I have an Osmo I use and the Mavic video is much smoother. To the point that I sometimes fly in the house. :-) Great video! Thanks again.

I can see using it for some inside shots doing the real estate photography. But for me I find it better to carry around the Inspire 2 all day to get those really smooth shots. However at the end of the day my arms are usually killing me. LOL

Hi Tim, I am U'r subscriber. I do have MavicPro and Goggles FAT-SHARK-Dominator-3. How to make this goggles work with Mavic ? I did had before Phantom-4 and F-Shark goggles. Phantom sold out and FS-goggles left. I will apriciate U'r advise.

What I don't like about using the Mavic as a handheld gimbal is the way the gimbal is shaking wildly on it's rubber dampers. It just looks like it's going to destroy it sooner or later.

I only use my ipad mini for all Mavic work. Is there a version of this designed to hold a ipad mini?

You could use a different size clamp for sure!

Actually the mavic gets extremely hot when not in flight. I wouldn't use it on the ground because the mavic sucks air through the front in order to cool the electronics inside. Using it without extra vents...mmmh... not sure this is a good idea.

+Flavio Bos it has built in fans that regulate it just fine. Think about doing firmware upgrades, it's on then for long upgrades as well.

personally I wouldn't mess around with overheating... firmware upgrades is not something you do frequently and the mavic gets seriously hot this is why you shouldn't cover the cam with the protection avoiding the airstream through the front vents. There are nicer solutions from yuneec or chinese stuff for those who are interested in stabilized shots...way better an iPhone or good android on a gimbal...just my opinion ;)

Not as steady as a SteadyCam, but probably as good as a high end gimbal. But..... is there any risk of screwing something up on the drone? I mean, is it going to try and spin the props, or otherwise do something the gimbal will hinder?

+pixlplague you remove the props to use this so no hazards exist for damaging the mavic

when I first got my Mavic 3 months ago it was capturing fabulous videos and photos but somewhere along the way something happened because now the images is saturated with white. I try to stay out of camera setting because I don't know much about it but I must have accidentally changed something or one of the updates did. Someone please help.

+verticalrider1 try moving the dial on the top right of the controller. It adjusts the exposure
