the reason to buy the mavic 2 pro or zoom is the modular design, the very high end image processor and swappable camera.. This will make it a lot more future proof.. for example the Ambarella H-3 image processor can do 4K@120 and 8K@30(I know the 1"sony sensor max at 5K).. DJI have these feature on a firmware lock down...This mean next year DJI can release a new camera for the drone and you can buy it without buying a new drone.. This modular, pack with high end chip, and swappable camera will make this drone a mini Inspire..This drone is highly future proof it won't be outdated until you need a 8K camera that can do 60 fps......

I'm a bit late to the party but I'm buying a mavic pro 1 tomorrow and I'm hoping it's still a good buy taking into account this video is 2 years old, please advise

I think it all depends on what you will use the drone for. I have a Mavic Pro 1 and at the moment it does everything I need in a drone. With that said some one that is more of a professional videographer or photographer may need the slight better camera quality. I am going to stay with my MP1 and will wait until the next level phantom is released before purchasing another. By they way Chris I really like the videos your putting out .... I own a Sony A7iii and am new to the camera world and would like to know if you could do a tutorial or two on low light photography (like city skylines or something similar) ??

100% agree with you! andddddddd... the new phantom pics leaked a couple of days ago.. very similar design by the looks of it. Appreciate the support man! Definitely something I can consider, will see what I can come up with. Might not be very much city scape as I live in the country but I have an idea or two to play with.... stay tuned :)

łłcv tough decision.. what kind of things do you shoot?
@lxvxfilms6 жыл бұрын
i shoot mostly when i travel. i’m juggling between 55mm zeis or a drone (mavic pro)
@chrisbrockhurst6 жыл бұрын
łłcv if you travel a lot the mavic pro will be really good for that. The zeiss 55mm is the next lens I’m looking at buying! Trying to decide used/new right now

Great video! I will keep my pro for a couple years until the mavic 3 pro comes out... i am a hobbyist and i don’t see any reason to upgrade to every new generation, its good idea to skip a generation so the improvement is more significant. But for commercial purposes, it may worth to upgrade. Just my opinion....

Damn, actually i dont have any drones yet, i am planning if i should choose the dji spark or dji mavic air or the dji mavic pro 1, because the dji mavic 2 pro seems to pricey for a small youtuber like me, and i dont usually drone, but i also want to use the drone for my youtube

Go with mavic pro 1. You want occusync for best range!
