Resolute is more stout and beefier, the Magic L as a better feel both on finish as on fishing it.

I kind of like the foam on the butt, plstic can get scratched and not look as nice in time. If i built my dream rod i would have an interchangeable pieve on the bottom which you can also use to customise the rod

Some have a screw cap, but being plastic, brass or aluminum they get toasted and the threads get all bent and after sometime they are gone. Usually what works it's a plastic cap like the ones they use in the huge long carp poles
