Honestly, I’m really having trouble deciding who to pull for my account. My original plan was to go for Arle, then save for Xilonen, and pick up Mavuika later. But seeing this video, I’m even more unsure. My only Natlan character is Kachina, so I’m not sure if it’ll be worth it to summon Mavuika, as I won’t even be able to give her a “good” team. Tbh, Arle just seems more f2p-friendly in a sense, since most of her teammates are characters that the majority of people have already. You’d be able to hit high numbers with a budget team. Mavuika, on the other hand, is pretty tied to a Natlan character, if you want to make the most out of her as a DPS. I have Neuvi, Furina, Kazuha, Yelan, Nahida, Cyno, Ayaka, Mona, Lyney, Tighnari, Jean, and Qiqi. Who would be best for my account-Mav or Arle?

Mavuika will only be better when you have either Citlali or Xilonen. If you are willing to wait for Xilonens rerun then likely it will be Mavuika being a better choice, if not then Arlecchino is still great.

It seems like Mavuika vs Arlecchino is the classic Firefly vs Boothill debate. Mavuika might have the raw numbers, but her team's feature-complete and requires 3 Natlan 5-stars. She's also being carried by Obsidian Codex and Cinder City being incredibly powerful Artifact sets for almost zero effort. Arlecchino on the other hand, works with a Xingqiu, a Bennett, and a dead Qiqi. Not to mention that her Melt comp still has room to grow in the future, with an upgrade for Rosaria likely on the cards, and her best Artifact set being a less than 10% upgrade over Gladiators. That being said though, I'd say that Mavuika has the win for Abyss, but Arlecchino has the win for Theatre, given how much of her kit is self-contained.

overall both are pretty good. at low investment they are pretty equal in some scenarios arlecchino turns out to be slightly better (example multiple wave content). at high investment the gap is noticeable but still arlecchino is not that far away from mavuika. also i want point out that flexibility is so important for a dps cuz when a new dps drops and its better than mavuika. that new dps will most likey take out most of mav best supports so mav have to be ready with another team to use. its the same case with neuvilette when xilonen came out, he took all the supports from arlecchino yet she still has overload chevy, zhongli vape and emily burgon

I love Mavuika, but you can't say father is so cooked. Citlali + mavuikaR1 is the equivalent to ArleC1R1 you still pulled for 5 stars. Also, if you are have low resources, arle is potentially far better in 4 star teams vs Mavuika. Her overload teams are super strong and still super f2p friendly, without considering she is more flexible.

Best guess is it'll actually be like Xilonen vs Kazuha, in that both are better than the other in certain contexts, and are otherwise interchangeable. Everyone's arguments for why Mavuika is better _seriously_ remind me of Mualani though. @@TheGenshinIdiot There's an important distinction between personal DPR and team DPR. If we only test personal DPR, Clorinde comes out as a comparatively worse DPS than for example Hu Tao. She's a very good one though, because she takes advantage of sub DPSes better than most other characters, so the team DPR ends up being comparable to the team DPR of high personal DPR characters. Mavuika can't use Yelan, whereas Arlecchino can, and Yelan ends up dealing 21% of the team's DPR, which makes up for Mavuika dealing 20% more personal DPR (which I don't think is an accurate figure, though I haven't checked), assuming Citlali isn't dealing Yelan levels of damage. I haven't looked into Citlali, though, so her damage might actually push Mavuika's team DPR higher than Arlecchino's.

For a more meaningful comparison, kill the boss. Fight "Biting-Cold Wayob Manifestation" (9M HP) instead of "He Never Dies" (5M HP) and try to kill it as fast as possible with multiple teams and then compare. Total damage output is more meaningful than damage per screenshot or damage per hit. You can compare not only the times but also teammate performance and even complexity of rotations. You do have Mavuika's top team (Bennet + Xilonen + Citlali) so I still expect her to do better but the question of how much better is still meaningful, specially if you are considering multiple teams. I don't have Mavuika so I can't personally compare but my Arlecchino team with higher investment than yours can do the 9M boss fight in 2 rotations (50 ~ 60 seconds fight)

Mavuika still has an advantage against his shield as it negates energy restoration and boosts nightsoul damage further. But by the same token, "He Never Dies" is also an unfair enemy since he is highly vulnerable to staggering and fall damage, Mavuika having an advantage being a claymore user. Unbalance is the nature of the game, Arlecchino can't use Codex (effectively) or claymores and Mavuika can't use Whimsy (effectively) or polearms, some bosses have high resistances or mechanics such as shields or invulnerability phases, some are more vulnerable to crowd control or using shields, this one is to healing. Heck, there is even Imaginarium Theater where you can't easily cherry pick your teams or swap your builds. If you want to compare them, build teams around them and see how they perform. They have full access to the exact same characters to build those teams (characters on your account) and the point of the game is clearing content, the comparison should be how effective is each of them at working on a team that can kill the boss and right now this is the boss that requires the most damage to kill. Damage per screenshot is worthless (since Genshin capped single instance damage to 10M a long time ago) but clearing content is still important, go the full fight not just one rotation or a cherrypicked damage sequence or instance.

From a realistic standpoint it would be illogical for Mavuika not to be better than Arlecchino, the game evolves and new characters must sell, even without factoring the Pyro Archon "elefant in the room". The beauty of it all is that in the end both Arlecchino and Mavuika can realistically clear content without problems, numbers and investments coming to play only on floor twelve of the Spyral Abyss. Personally Mavuika gives me motion sickness if used as a dps, therefore i opted for Arlecchino. In the end, whilst numbers are an objective factor, pulling and utilising one character over the other reduces itself to which one of them you are the most comfortable playing/you like the most... Atleast that is how i reason whilst planning my pulls, i understand that someone else simply prefers the to play the strongest character, in the end it is a game, everyone can enjoy it in their own way.

I want to give a few tips. For the arle, bennet, xilonen, citlali team 1) U should charge attack with arle first to get bond of life on arle 2) sucrose is overall better for dps then xilonen but is comparable 3) u can try to get 200 bol with arle cuz u use 200 fighting spirit with mavuika I DO NOT THINK ARLE IS BETTER BTW I'M JUST SAYING U CAN GET MORE OUT OF HER IF U DO THESE 3 THINGS

The bond of life thing is dumb, you get 200 fighting spirit on mav without prestacking it, because of how abyss and her rotation works, you only get 200 bond of life if u prestack it, which never happens in real scenarios

mavuika cann support/sub dps, exploration utility, higjest dmg ceiling currently, we get 2 natlan units for free and more natlan units coming also, you can pull for arle but you only get a pyro dps and still need to wait for reruns of furina or yelan if you dont have team, long term if mavuika gets powercrept she can still be relevant in other roles, arle cant

For me I use Mavuika, Citlali, Xilonen, and Bennet for one team and then Arle, Yelan, Xingqiu and Zhongli for my other team. Both are amazing Pyro Main DPS characters and they both carry me on Abyss. And both of these teams are so easy to use I can enjoy playing on my phone at work when I’m away from my PC 😂

By everything you've laid out, it sounds like Arlecchino is still the better unit to pull for. Given that Mavuika relies on premium units to perform that strongly and overpower. Arlecchino for the average player has a wider range of teams that she can use that are very f2p friendly. By design Mavuika incentivise people to pay to be "highest dps in the game", which is pretty on the nose lol. I don't think she has a great f2p weapon either? At least comparetively for what White Tassel is to Arle.

And if you don't require ER then you can increase other substats easily, which I guess is a major advantage of mavuika's kit. And also her talent levels are low as of now. I got c2 mavuika. Not really intentionally 😅 But she is fucking rediculous. I hit 1.998 mil with her and I could easily improve that. She is fun but I'm finding her gameplay to become very repetitive. If I think an abyss looks pretty easy I think I will still use my arle just because shes more fun to use imo. Where as Mavuika, she is already getting so many buffs to her ATK (Mine sits around 5k fully buffed) that the extra ATK sands isnt going to do much, Then you can also vape/melt A LOT of her hits. The issue I have Is that I have already built a super solid team around arlecchino. And I never liked the mechanics nor the need for other natlan characters for Mavuika to truly be viable. You are running them both with the same buffs so that give an idea of what solo output damage is IF you have those natlan characters to support her needs. This whole natlan bullshit is why im passing the pyro archon completely because I dont have a team to build around her that can meet her requirements. I got c4 arlecchino soon to be c6 and a full refinement rank weapon. And she can use existing characters I already have and I have many other DPS characters and supports built that honestly? if you need to kill anything quicker than that you need to be playing grand theft auto or mortal combat. It just comes down to hoyo making too many changes too quickly to the the game for legacy players and I dont even know how new players would even want to pull on tese characters. Could you imagine just starting genshin and you havent even got to liyue yet let alone sumeru or fontaine. Thats a lot of lifetimes to wait to build a character.

i have muavika and in my honest opinion she is good but is difficult to play with and i feel arle is slightly better if you dont have citlali or her signature or any 5 star claymore. I have xilonen and the mailed flower claymore and i get 374k burst with her with 90k charged attacks on melt. Seeing the comparisons arle has slightly bettter dps than her and arle is more f2p friendly than muavika for sure. Under the right circumstances muavika is a beast and if you give her citlali and xilonen she can beat arle but talking in f2p terms arle is easier to get good potential out of and has teams that can perform better at a f2p level.

Tbh Mavuika ain't really bad on Mono pyro, I mean you're comparing a C0 Mavuika's numbers against a C1 Arle ofc a C1 Arle would win that in just raw power due to C1 Arle C1 is a huge dmg jump. When both C0 They'll probably perform just the same on Mono pyro teams. People think Mav's Mono pyro team is bad cause of how freakin strong her reaction teams are. The thing that Arle is better than Mavuika is team comps flexibility since Arle can use technically everything she can run yelan and xq and performance feels great but with Mav I don't really like running either of the 2 that makes me end up with only Furina and Mona which Arle could also run with. In Mavuika's defense she's more comfortable to play than Arle cause she can be healed and she got perfect interrupt resistance she literally just needs a source of healing and you dont really need to think of dodging that much.

Who's better for my account- Arlechino or Mavuika? I have yelan, xingqui, furina, kazuha, xiangling, Bennett, Emilie, cheveruse, sucrose, but no Natlan characters. Pulled for Mavuika and lost 50/50, now I have 150 pulls left. So, which character would be better value for my account? I would go for Mav, but I can't guarantee Citlali. And furina is occupied in Neuvillete C1 team, so no vape team for Mav as well.

@@punisher077 if you don’t mind being weaker at first you can use Mav, furina, Bennett, kachina and that will still be a good team and you can get Xilonen on her rerun which would then make mavuika better in vape teams. Neuvillette will be good enough with just kazuha.

Is she significantly superior to Arlechino in terms of performance and utility? I was under the impression that the damage difference between Mav and Arlechino wasn’t that significant like in the case between Arle and Hutao, so is the gap between Mavuika and Arlechino really that much greater?

Mine would not, I think ive maybe hit 100k+ on it but its never used offensively. Another thing is that it would add to the rotation length which could overall decrease the dps of the team.

Its purely up to you, I would say make sure you like the dps you are going to use as they will be the only option on your account for a while and if you dont like them your enjoyment of the game will be affected a lot. Summon for Meta later.

So I'm still debating whether to c6 my Arlecchino or c6 mavuika. While i do care about max damage potential, I also care about getting able to flex in coop. You reckon arlecchino is better in coop, given that most teams you end up with are random garbage that doesn't synergize with either of them? Who does more damage solo?

Well Mavuika becomes self sufficient, one thing Arlecchino has issues with is how she isnt able to be healed in co op and you dont have a load of supports who allow you to kill the enemy before they kill you.

Who told you that mavuika needs xilo to overpower Arle? Xilo is needed just to charge her burst quickly. Even without her, her burst charges up in a decent amount of time. And if you don't require ER then you can increase other substats easily, which I guess is a major advantage of mavuika's kit. And also her talent levels are low as of now. Wait for them to get maxed out and she'll wipe out Arle

@@romelroy12e59 thing with mavuika is that it's mainly her burst doing most of the damage and she needs good support to make use of those multipliers of her. In her best team she's better than Arle, but for me personally, I prefer Arle because I like to coop, and on her own, Arle is still better it seems.

so no buffs? No because 90% of her damage is from burst, then again you have to wait 5s for Arlecchino so just using E skill Mav, Xilonen E skill is good enough and she should be better. Idk.
