As a Mexican, i feel compelled to share what i know of the names of the characters based on mesoamerica, with their pronunciation between parenthesis The lavander cryo girl: Citlalli (Sitlaly) - Star in Nahuatl The jaguar girl: Xilonen (Shilonen) - The mexica goddess of tender maize, the name meanig "The hairy one" 💀 in reference to the hairs of the corn plant The dendro Xiao: Kinich (Kinitsh)- maya god of the solar eye, lord of light, music and the 4 paths of the universe, maker of time and heat The pet thing with Kinich: Ajaw K'hul (Ahau kuhul) - this is more of a title than a name, but it would be something like sacred lord, someone of high status, connector between humans and gods in maya Probably the guy that the archon is talking to in the end: Xbalanque (ishbalanke the last e pronounced like the first e in empire) - one of the twin gods of the maya creation mythos, reborn after defeating the 9 gods of the underworld, and became the sun and moon along with his twin to bring light to the world

Here's why I think the pyro archon's design is so incredible. Normally characters have a rather high amount of accessories that gives their character model volume and depth. Almost all of them if not all have some sort of cape that gives them flow and volume so they won't seem flat. Some have scarfs or ribbons etc. Mavuika has none of that, she has no cape or accessories...all she has is a skin tight full body suit. Technically that makes her character model very slim and not stand out. Her huge flaming mane of hair is what gives her this big aura and depth to the model. The complete focus is on her hair, the embodiment of flames

little fan fact, Mavuika's cn va was the system voice and several characters in LOL, (same for HoK and a character), even some characters from the cartoons that i watched in my childhood, including Pinkie Pie and Princess Celestia from MLPs series, the early 00s Doraemon and some wuxia dramas characters, my jaw dropped to the ground when I learned that. Maviuka has an awesome design. Her entire design is full of symbols of the sun. Pretty sure that's a big indicator that she is indeed the Pyro archon. Though I will say every characters design fits the theme of Natlan except Maviuka. It feels like she doesn't belong to Natlan that she is like a foreigner. Is it story related or a case of I thought it looked cool. Her outfit wasn't what I was really expecting Natlan's god of war to look like. Though there is always a twist with the archon's. So their is a chance that we are being lead astray by thinking she is the archon. She may just be related to Murata and not Murata herself. Excited for the next arc of the story and most likely pulling Maviuka cause she still looks awesome even if she sticks out like a sore thumb

For me both JP and En sounds good, both this languages are not my first language. But I understand en so it sounds more natural for me. For many en speakers JP dub was what they hear all their lives, and EN dub in anime was bad. So they become fans of Jp VA’s. In my childhood anime was always dubbed and it was very good. So yeah Jp dub is good but nothing crazy for me. Especially in Hoyo games, EN dub as good, and sometimes better, especially when you can hear and understand every word, and not just read translation.

Like Xlice said, you just hear the characters, not the actors. JP VAs are just consistently high quality unlike EN ones. Most of the good EN VAs are doing cartoons.
