Well played As for the drop when Dan hendrickson plays a scramble if it lands in the rough they place balls in the rough if fairway they drop Not sure what the actual rules are. Good luck with the golf day

Hallo again John From what I can gather from people that know , if in the rough you have to drop the ball within. 6 inches , if your on the fair way you can place , but if any body knows different I stand corrected, love the content John carry on

There are no official rules, it is down to the club competition committee. However I think the fairest for competitions is :- Choose the best drive, mark the spot, others can place their ball within 1 club length no nearer the hole. Ball in the rough, bunker or hazard, 1st person plays it as it lies, others have to drop within 1 club length but not outside the rough or hazard if in there *others can place their ball in the bunker as otherwise it might plug which is unfair. Whichever shot you choose that person must play the next shot. 4 T shots per person must be taken. *and my added extra, a maximum score of a double bogey on each hole to speed up play if you have a tough course and a group of high handicappers.

He did say that you're right. I had to rewind it to double check. Actually the 19th hole has always been one of my favourites whichever course I've played. 😁⛳
