Max and Dianne have worked really hard this week and have tried their absolute hardest tonight and for someone to say something like that, it could really knock their confidence.i think they did really well tonight and personally the scores were a bit lower than I expected, however the amount of courage it takes to go and do a dance in front of millions of people is amazing and we should be doing nothing but supporting everyone and making sure that they are all having the best time possible.🙂

HOW DID THIS GET A 5! This was a solid routine! The only thing I could see that was a mistake was the ballroom hold was out of place here and there, but other than that this routine was fine. Elegant footwork and nice lifts (going in and out). Absolutely gorgeous darling! *7.5*

He hits the beat every time throughout the routine and the overall performance was clean, polished and accomplished. It was definitely one of the better dancers of the night and considering his previous dances, he certainly looked like he should be in the final. While there is inevitably an aspect of subjectivity to judging performances, there are also objective markers to hit and judging by those alone, Max did not deserve to exit the show.

Watched live and at the end it looked like diane pushed him away . The version on here cuts it. Just a feeling but I feel diane is not comfortable with her partner. Given that anton is on the panel and will be tied into any backstage gossip, it's possible that he would vote no. It would get his co dancer out of a possibly awkward situation. The body language is off.

I loved this, especially the styling and the music! I think Craig was unnecessarily rude though. I know it wasn't perfect by any means, but he gave no constructive criticism, just bluntly stated what he hates about it not even jokingly like normal, and the only thing that will do is knock Max's already low confidence. And I also don't get the comment about it not being hard enough, but then complaining about everything he did here, did he want Dianne to make it even harder so Max would struggle even more? The pros know the level of their dance partner more than anyone else and choreograph accordingly. I do normally like Craig, but that really rubbed me the wrong way.

Unfortunately this was the most forgettable dance of the evening for me. His top line is weirdly a top line of two halves - left hand side is brilliant, the right hand side not so much - he needs to pick up his elbow. His hands need much more finesse, they are placed correctly they are just placed like planks of wood - finesse through to the fingertips in order to complete the lines. The choreography was beautiful just needed something extra to give it that oomph up the leaderboard. I just want max to have that break out dance and I don’t feel like he has had it yet. 7/10

After last week's performance, where Max was totally in character, I was expecting him to have an incredible performance in his next dances, but I was disappointed. The thing that I didn't like the most in this routine was the total lack of artistry. Max didn't portray the character of the dance, he didn't show any emotions. In addition, he was stiff, he wasn't pushing hard enough into the floor with the balls of his feet, he didn't create any sway and he wasn't leading Dianne: In ballroom the men is the leader, he is like a driver or a sailor who is navigating through the dancefloor, while the woman is like a flower in a vase who reacts and who listens to the man that leads her. I also wasn't keen on the choreography and I found it pretty boring to be honest. All in all, Max had a decent frame and a good footwork, but he was very uncomfortable, he didn't take control of the dance and he didn't show any emotion. My score: a 6.

This really could have been something excellent but I was underwhelmed. The actual footwork was good but his arms are really annoying (horrible air plane shapeless) and the frame needs attention. I think he glides across the floor very naturally so we should have saw more of that. I have to say disappointed. Posture was beautiful however his musicality is surprisingly poor. Nice lifts and a classy feel but I thought it ended up rather wooden. *6/10*

Well I'll be honest after last week's breakthrough performance, it genuinely was a disappointment to see this dance. The lifts were great but he truly lacked so much musicality when it came to ballroom. We had arms being flung out as if he was practising how to do a karate chop and it lacked grace and elegance. The only good thing was the lifts and the frame. 7!
