Re; The US 'guarding' Syrian oil I keep hearing about the disconnect that some see between the US not even NEEDING their oil, but for some reason the US is hell bent on maintaining control of Syrian oil regardless. So, let me try to add some perspective We all know that the main plank enabling the US to continue to assert itself as the global hegemon is the almighty petrodollar. Yes but you may also be remembering other leaders.. There were previous al Baghdadi’s in Al Quaeda. It means ‘from Baghdad’. Arabs have alternative naming options. Abu Bakr al Bagdhadi’ means father of Bakr (the eldest son) from Baghdad. He will have other given names. There was an Abu Omar al-Bagdhadi in charge of Isis in Iraq. Father of Omar, from Bagdhad.

The War Machine is run out of Switzerland and they control the Integrity Initiative units all around the world. Max understood this during the Venezuela Embassy fiasco, since on the Monday Max was on air and mentioned that the Swiss were one of the first to recognize Guaido. And when Trump finally invaded the Embassy, the Swiss President was visiting at the same moment with no mention in the media about the Embassy takeove. Which should have been front page news for a "Neutral" country. There are Swiss companies that have been found to have built those nice tunnels for ISIS so they could carpet bomb the cities and yet the terrorists on the ground were protected. They had a roundup of young ISIS recruits in Switzerland recently, and they let them go. I guess they were on a training program for UBS.

Excellent investigative journalism ... so much better than the NYT. One very relevant issue predating and preparing the conquest of Racca occurred in Mosul. Remember when 2000 terrorists took over Mosul with zero resistance from the Iraqi government. They captured massive stockpiles of weapons especially armored vehicles which were later used as unstoppable suicide vehicles filled with explosives that were driven into the Syrian base defense perimeter. They were essential in taking the airbase. The interesting fact (hearsay?) was the political appointed general ordered the Iraqi military to abandon Mosul and the massive newly arrived stockpile. Remember the corrupt Iraqi government was installed by our state department and that general was a political appointee ... clearly a government open to bribery and no interest in protecting Mosul citizens. It appears the whole process was orchestrated to provide terrorists the weapons they would need to beat the Syrian military.

I remember in the late 80s two senators talking to each other on McNeil Lehrer evening news. One said to the other in the interview "now that we succeeded in Iraq taking down Iran, we need to figure out how to take down Iraq" paraphrased. At the time we were undercover allies with Iraq even sinking Iranian ships and Rumsfeld providing Iraq chemical weapons used to great effect. Then lo and behold, after the war Kuwait started demanding payment in full for their support of Iraq during the war. Iraq pushed back saying it was a coalition war effort that benefited Kuwait and cost should be shared. The contention included slant oil drilling across the border. Then our state department sent April Glaspie telling Iraq "the US is good with you invading Kuwait, just don't take the whole thing" paraphrased. Then when Iraq did invade and take it all, our state department set it up so Iraq could not back down but would suffer permanent sanctions. After the total annihilation of the Iraqi government the US sequentially installed 4 puppet pseudo governments before settling on the corrupt leadership with staying power. How corrupt? Political appointee generals ordered the military to flee a major city from the Islamic State terrorist. The city had recently been stockpiled with lots of military gear which IS then used to conquer much of Syria. (Remember suicide drivers of explosives packed heavy armor? Now you know why it was important to have bribable politically appointed Iraqi generals). And to make sure ISIS would succeed in Syria, this was repeated in two Iraqi cities freshly stockpiled with lots of the weapons to arm IS in Syria (ISIS). Mosul and Ramadi.

If you seriously wanted oil, you wouldn’t target Syria which doesn’t have very much compared to other ME countries. I suspect it will just be used as a bargaining chip.
