I was surprised to see an obituary for him in a newspaper following his death in 2017. Given the nature of the harm he'd caused some of his victims (including preventing one victim from having her first sexual relationship with someone her own age), I thought he wouldn't be missed!

All of his clients supported him and remained loyal because he had career destroying shit on many of them....and the reason his victims remained anonymous is not only because of the British legal system.... which Mr Clifford obviously felt should not apply to him being the obvious narcissist he was...... but also because if they were not anonymous he had the connections to publicly destroy them through the media.

If he'd shown any speck of remorse, his sentence would have been halved, but he dug his own grave when he adopted the 'deny, deny, deny' strategy. Given that he will doubtless be appealing and continuing to protest his innocence - we can't expect to hear any apologies in the foreseeable future as that would be an admission of guilt. I hope his fellow inmates give him the 'warm, loving welcome' that he deserves...careful with that bar of soap Max!

Not just children...but dying children who were already walking a tightrope...for the ones that have passed...one could even argue that’s second degree murder as the trauma of the abuse shattered their confidence and they gave up fighting...beyond sick

It's a horrible thing for him and his family he says, but what he's done has been horrible for the victims and their families. He has brought this to his family's door, he has to take responsibility now for his actions not be excused because he is wealthy, famous and able to speak well to the media, nor to be pitied by us when he plays virtuous victim as he does in this interview. The passage of time does not cancel out a crime, look at war criminals, they did the most horrendous things to other human beings, should it all be forgotten about because it was so long ago? No, justice needs to be done and now has been done.

I don't know if safer comes into the debate, I just got fed up of hearing him interviewed on TV or radio in the end, his dulcid tones began to irritate, the world according to Max was all we heard, he probably isn't missed by many in media and in celeb world now. Trouble is eventually one didn't know what was fake news and what wasn't fake news with Max, and he expected the general public to still believe all he said. I still scratch my head when he speaks, wondering if he is B'S..ing us or is he telling us the truth or do any of us really care ? I do agree with him about the unfairness of how accusers remain anonymous and the accused are allowed to be known in the media.

"Max Clifford Why I Believe He Is Innocent" Amazon Kindle the book i wrote in answer to the disgracte of the trial. if all the people who are quick to write comments without considering what happened at the trial. Not one who has commented would like to go to prison on just the word of another person who is anonymous. By all means if guilty then convict. But guilty or not the legal system we all have believed in for years was based on beyond all reasonable doubt. That has now been destroyed in many of these trials. The CPS and government just want to achieve targets not justice.

OFC. He kept he letter from the girl he abused for the giggles, no?
@johnmarsh3596
@johnmarsh3596 9 жыл бұрын
I believe he and his then wife were concerned. Certainly not as a trophy which is implied by the court and newspapers. But the letter was just there. I do not remember reading much about the why's and where fors. If I had received a letter like that and these celebs must receive them from time to time it is hard to know what to do. Any letter could be that just a letter like trolls or blackmail or much more. Wife took a copy and kept it at her house so I think she was most concerned. The person who wrote the letter researched the web for all the information she could find. You will find a mention of this person also in Jonathan King's book 70 FFFY.. Even if he had gone to the police how would he know if they would deal with correctly or turn it against him. MC was in the media business so he knew the problems. To keep quiet or sue like Freddie Starr not easy. So he kept it like we all do to re look at another day. So for evidence the letter means nothing other than the woman sent it a. because it is true or B. she was setting up a black mail scam or C.. one of them fantatist, stalker, funny people we have a few of. She waited until her mother died because she did not want her upset!! Or it could of been because the mun would of blown the story. THE LETTER MEANS NOTHING. But if the lady had made a police report all those years ago before the internet then that would definitely mean something.

John Marsh You are really involved here, no? Either way, your legitimate conjecture aside, you don't quote Johnathan King as an authority on anything. He is a deluded, and convicted, sex offender.
@johnmarsh3596
@johnmarsh3596 9 жыл бұрын
Hergle McMergle Deluded? My view is the world is crazy otherwise the simple problems of poverty and continued fighting would of been sorted 100's if not 1000's years ago. I actually had never heard of Jonathan King until I read Max Clifford's book and checked the stories out for myself. I know it has never been the fashion but I work at attempting to keep an "open mind" and research what I can if time and info easily found. After many years experience and finding myself closing my mind as well I check, doubt, question myself about everything I am the world's no 1 cynic. So I try and find the evidence and go with the evidence (I call the 3F's Facts more Facts and nothing but the Facts. A little like Charles Dickens novel "Hard Times" but I trust more balanced and not in a nonsense way as in the novel). Also, know that the evidence may point one way and the truth comes out one day and it is another way. I certainly do not trust the police, media, conspiracy theorists, CPS, politicans, advertising, stories of anyone including friends. I listen but nothing can be for sure until evidence and consistency shows it to be so. And I am not gay nor understand been gay but I am a cynic but I listen and respect people and yes I respect Jonathan King because I have found him more down to earth than most others I read here in the media.
@Mozzers84
@Mozzers84 9 жыл бұрын
John Marsh Is that a long-handed way of saying you respect Johnathan King? Aside from having a vested interest in the book... He was convicted, and, until that conviction is overturned, then that remains the bottom line.

Been around kids for 40 years. Just like your mate Jimmy Saville. You sold kids like you sell stories.
