My theory is that the newer seasons of Max and Ruby take place before the older seasons, the parents and Max and Ruby’s little brother and sister(sorry for spoilers) died in a car accident and Max and Ruby were the only ones that survived. I noticed that in the later seasons, Max can speak perfect English, but in the earlier seasons, Max can’t, because he got severe brain damage from the car accident.
