Jos speaks better in German, but Max is much better in English then Jos haha! To bad that the Germans always "audio dubbing" all the English movies and TV shows, so the kids in Germany never hear English on the television and therefore never learn to speak it.... I wonder if there is a "Max takes his mother around the Spa circuit" video ??!!! (or any other family member)

Martijn Vv Where is your problem? German is our language a part of our culture. Its good that we learn at first our language and then an other one. Our englisch is very good, we have time to learn it in school, we dont have to hear it every day...

Swiss, Martijn hat da nichts slechtes gemeint. Ich gehe da in mit was er gesagt hat. Weisst du, Ich habe mir Star Trek TNG und Voyager auf Deutsche Fernsehen angeschaut weil das hier im Holland noch nicht drauf war. Also weil ich Deutsch lernte auf die Schule, hatte ich ubung von Star Trek weil das alles in Deutsch war. Auch Deutsche Polizei serien wie Derrick, Der Alte und Tatort, alles auf Deutsch. Es hilft. Wann ich auf Hollandische TV mir ein Amerikanischer film ansehe, is das Englisch gesprochen und habe ich Untertitel. Weil sie im Deutschen TV nur Deutsch hört. Es hilft uns eine Fremdsprache zu lernen. Bitte fuhle nicht angegriffen durch Martijn, er hat da nichts schlechtes gemeint. Verzeih mir bitte einige Fehler, ich bin es nicht gewöhnt(sp?) Deutsch zu typen. Verstehen ist leicht, schreiben ist komplett etwas anderes

Jila Tana Dein Deutsch ist durchaus akzeptabel. Nicht schlecht für eine Nicht-Deutschsprechende Person 👏 Ich verstehe es jedoch auch, meine Kultur frei ausleben zu dürfen, ohne Einfluss von aussen. Dazu gehört auch meine Sprache. Englisch später sprechen zu können, ist definitv ein Vorteil in vielen Bereichen des Lebens.

+Toivo Haapaniemi dutch and german are for 90% the same language. And they are Limburgers, from province bordering germany and dialect on both sides of border is practacly the same. They have more in common with each other than with the rest of their country.

+Jeroen Wubbels That is not completely true. People from the Netherlands bordering Germany around the eastern regions have more in common with Germany than the rest of the Netherlands. That is not only limited to the province of Limburg. The people of the Randstad, the western part of the Netherlands even have a joke about easterners. All the land behind the river Ijssel is considered half Germany and regions like Twente and The Achterhoek are called German farm lands.

Sorry but that's just absolutely BS. Dutch and German aren't 90% the same. What u say about dialects also makes very little sense. I live 5 km from the German border, I know what I'm talking about. My German is better then the average dutchman but the only reason for that is because I interact more with Germans in daily life (and work) then other dutchman. My dialect doesn't help, not even in the slightest way. I really think it's an urban myth you're talking about. So the best answer for Tovio would be: #1 Yes it's because he is Dutch, but what that means is for us foreign country's are very close by. Since nobody adapts to us by speaking Dutch, we have to adapt to them. Speaking 3 languages isn't a big deal in our tiny country. #2: He learned it in school, like all of us have to. #3 He travels alot, I don't know, but I can imagine he did "a couple" of races in Germany. #4: He is THE MAX!
