2nd green week for me. i started in march. ross's tools and vids have been awesome. up around $400 since i started. started with 10 shares and lately, i've been consistent. i made a couple of n00b mistakes with screwing up orders or i would be up even more. i don't trade on margin and have been building my cash account since late march. my intuition has been sharpened by watching these vids. by late summer, i hope to be well on my way to having a second career in case the job market continues to soften.

I feel your pain, buddy!! I'm down 30,000 because I was greedy. My losses were in AMC & GME. I pulled out of FFIE to play those other 2. I'm disappointed to, but there is still an opportunity in a bounce back in AMC & GME. There is tons of money being added to them and the hedge funds are going broke because Roaring Kitty is involved again 👍

Paper trading day 10: stock movement today was absolutely terrible, and I figured that was because of the AMC, GME, FFIE and other attention-grabbers. I couldn't force myself to trade on anything, but then decided to trade BNRG on break of $5.00. Wasn't a perfect bull flag, but close enough that I took the trade at 8:37 am. It went up a bit, but then started going down and down... I didn't even wait or it to drop below previous red candle's low (because it was quite far away) and exited at $4.69 for a $32 loss. In hindsight that saved me quite a few $$ in losses. If not for a Gamestop trade on Tuesday, this week would be red total.

Unsuccessful green day for me. Stopped out on that predictable FFIE flush at open, then when it held $2.3 and bounced, I hopped back in and ended up making it back and $12 extra. Problem is, I was at -$84 after the first trade, and my max loss is -$80. So broke my rule, but ended up green. Got poor grades in general in my journal. Honestly, I was too tired to trade and didn't know it. Gotta manage my schedule better.

Same here Ross, no good trades since Wed & I gave back a little more than half of my profits from Mon, Tue, & from Wednesday which was my best day... but I needed this losing streak in order to implement a rule that I already had in mind for proper risk management on choppy days but prior to today, I did not consider giving that rule enough thought so I was not even using it. I could have stopped the bleeding way sooner in hind sight but I would consider these week end loses a short term draw down and a win for the long term in risk management.

I love seeing max losses just as much as max gains. This is 100 percent accurate. This week I make 1700 but on Friday I lost 100. It is what it is. You got to learn when to get out of things before it goes against your favor. The market will always be there! So what if you lost today. It means next week will give you bigger gains/opportunities. Keep losses smaller then your winnings and you will do fine.

What do you think about sticking to a strict percentage gain strategy? For example 10% gain or 5% loss and youre out for the day. As a new trader I am considering implementing a 10% daily goal. Maybe that is lofty but I feel like it is safer to aim for a consitent small gain then big swings.

Hey Ross, I know its not the right time to ask but for BNRG, I was trying to buy at the first micropull back which I think it was at 4 or something, which was well below 5, but I was insanely slow which I almost got filled at 5.03 (I almost got a stroke), so my only entry was at the 2nd pullback. May I ask if your first entry was also that micro pull back or the second one, if it was the 2nd one then what was the reason u didnt get in on the first one.

At least you kept to your limits and did not try to get any of it back, because as we all know, when you’re back is against the wall ross, that’s the time to walk away, comeback stronger next week. Ross, why do you have a fixed number of shares (e.g.,5000) instead of calculating your share size relative to your entry price? For example, if I risk 5% of my account and will tolerate a 7% drop in price, my share size formula is: share size = 0.05*account size/ (entry price - (entry price*0. 93)) . Before placing a trade just pop in what you expect you'll get for an entry and you'll have roughly the same risk / potential gains in dollar terms with each trade, regardless of the price of the stock (1 dollar or 20). Hope this helps!

FLJ....in retrospect, you should have waited for it to break through of its previous high (and confirm the breakout with a retest) before adding to the position. It looks like it was a double top. One strategy when in a slump...once you hit your minimum gain (the first time), instead of adding to the position, immediately set a trail stop to lock in some gains. A dump that produces a $900 - $1K gain gives you a small win and sets you up for the next buy when it bounces. Tiny victories are crucial in trying to get back into the trading groove. Of course, vision is 20/20 when looking back.

I just had a thought…. could you please discuss this…. When GameStop was in the news HEAVY a few days ago could that have possibly triggered every amateur trader to jump in the stock market and start making really random moves? And if so, with so many beginner traders jumping in the market for a few days after seeing what GameStop did could they be messing up the “patterns” and making the stock market much more unpredictable then usual… do you see any correlation between what I am saying and your “losing” days? You say more eyes on a stock make it move….. well more eyes on the market as a whole and many be beginner types could they be making things erratic?

It seems like you were adding to winners a bit late compared to normally when you're looking for that pop and offering out at some sort of par level. I am curious how well being up x dollars before sizing up would compare to the position being up x percent from entry price. Maybe that would translate better between pennies and mid caps but I guess it's more difficult to implement for a scalper.

I have a question, i know there are circuit breakers to help keep volatility in check and have witnessed them many times. But yesterday CRKN jumped almost %1000 during the day and not one circuit breaker. Is that because it's a penny stock? If so I didn't realize penny stocks didn't have the same circuit breakers.

Sorry man, yesterday was my max loss day. Today I walked away green, was green yesterday and just gave it back. Made poor decisions and almost put me red for the week. Still recovering from when I first started holding losing stocks like 6 total and last week I dumped them all with like a 6k loss. SO... lesson learned will be into next month before I actually break back even. So today was a rehab day get green and go home basically, which made me green for the week. Max loss for me on Wednesday. Thursday was also red. I couldn't recoup the loss today so I finished the week red.

I hit big on 0dte puts on PDD, hit on puts with FFIE had .04 average and sold for .30, my last hit was puts on UNH, then I took a few losses on FUTU puts, TSLA puts, and SPY calls, today was mostly flat, market at all time high for elections.

Monday and Tuesday, my funds were in transport to CMEG… missed all of the GME/AMC moves, had FOMO something terrible… just got my Sterling software today and was playing around in the simulator… happy I wasn’t live the last couple days… hitting the ground running on Monday!!

I should have sat on the sidelines, did lose a little bit of money even though some of the trades did well. Difficult market to trade right now.

So you had a winning trade. Didn't put in a stop above where you got in. Then you chased a parabolic move up. It came down as parabolic move do. Then you got back in on a revenge trade.

I've been checking out your recent videos, and it looks like they're mostly about recapping the Red Days. While those are cool and we could take lessons from them but I hope you're not getting too caught up in just that topic.

He posts daily. If he had a few red days in a row he'll post it. If he has green weeks in a row he'll post that too.

I lost big on AKAN. but made a bit of green on FFIE. Tiny positions as to prevent heavy losses

Definitely was a no trade for me. Had a great day yesterday and today I couldn’t seem to see any thing that was a good setup.

Cheers for the videos and being real about trading. I'm only a month into live trading forex, riding that break-even train on a $500 account. My 'last trade of the week', I was in a good place, and took on necessary risk on news with ordinary volume, greed and 3 x stop-outs gave back 'one good day's gains' to the market. Another lesson learned😉

I got caught in the pre market for FLJ. I decided to hold it till it filled the gap on the daily and avg down from 1.02 and to .77 when I bought at .71. I caught the entire move and sold my high cost shares for 1.68 and the lower cost shares for 2.02
