Hi Brad, I know this is a year on but I hope you have conquered your depression and anxiety. I too went through something similar, Satan attacked my marriage with all he had. I’m sure most people would have walked out if the same thing happened. I was overcome with sexual lusts and desires that led to depression and anxiety. Good news is I had conquered Satan’s attack on me through “CAFES”. Confession, alms giving, fasting, Eucharist and scripture. Theses five things drove Satan away and my marriage has never been better since. I don’t lust after women anymore, but Satan still tries unsuccessfully and my relationship with God is unshakeable. I hope you read this or anyone else who is going through their own tribulations that they find the wisdom in these words to defeat Satan at his own game. Praise be to God.

I pray that your faith be strengthened. I pray that your faith increase in god with every breath you take because he holds your breath. I pray that your faith increases not just because of you but because you start having faith in his faithfulness. I pray that you believe more and more in Jesus and rejoice in him. I pray once you have faith in Jesus, you will realise you need nothing else to be happy. His name is enough to restore everything. I pray that you realise that once you are in Jesus, you can't be sad. I pray that he dwells in your heart and surrounds you with the holy spirit and keeps you and your thoughts from all evil. There is no depression or despair in you and the only thing that remains is Jesus. God bless you. In Jesus name I pray and ask for all these things as he loves you. Amen

But... no one requested that Lazarus be raised from the dead. Where in the Bible did someone ask Jesus to raise Lazarus? If anything they were mad as Jesus for showing up late.

The point you made points to the reality that God has a bigger plan than that of our own. They merely ask that he be healed from sickness. And had he been that would have been miracle enough, however, God showed His glory and power over death once more when He allowed Lazarus to die and then brought him forth alive from the tomb. That is an overwhelming miracle. There are answered prayers that we are grateful for and then there are answered prayers that we are overwhelmed by. The point is God answered it in the best way.

Mollie, I just saw your response to the question and I think u did a good job, thanks. And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free. God does things in His own time, and in His time He make all things beautiful. As you said, if Jesus had been here to heal Lazarus of His illness, that would have been miracle enough, but the impact wouldn't have been as profound to derive commentary enough as the resurrection of Lazarus from the dead, after four good days in the tomb.
