Listening to him talk for the first time, he is very charming, articulate and humble. Also since the song hit the right cords, and am assuming it was perfect for the boys to write their own verses over the given track. Great job!

When I first heard Yet To Come, it was a little underwhelming but things sometimes do until I see them perform it on stage. Everything made sense when they said that they were going on a break at the Festa dinner. Then each time they performed it, my heart melted more and more with finally the end of the Busan concert, the sound and the lyrics just fits so perfectly. It was incredibly moving, sad and hopeful. Thank you, Max.

he did write the song for them tho. that's how it works. it's not anyone invalidating the work from anyone else. but bts literally asked him to write a song for them and he did. then they obviously went in and made it their version of perfect. but the original song was written by max for bts. it's a pretty simple concept and is done for many artists.

BTS YET TO COME was written by Dan Gleyzer, J-Hope, Max, Pdogg, RM, and Suga, with Pdogg serving as producer.

They're really (continuously) talking like he wrote it the whole song as it is now, singlehandedly (and so are a lot of people in the comments who seemed to have glossed over him saying it was a collaborative effort - I wonder what that's all about... even though he does keep reminding them, so good on Max for that), when most of BTS's music is a highly collaborative effort - and apparently, so is Max's, which I didn't know before (you can see that if you look at the credits of any BTS song). The rappers likely wrote their own lyrics as usual, and other writers (RM) probably added to Max's melody and lyrical outline with Korean lyrics that match the concept and make sense for the song and rhyme and fit to the main melody. I think the way the song ended, was BTS's team too (just my theory) or SUGA himself, because it reminds me a lot of Telepathy, and SUGA's sort of ethereal synth style in some of his other songs.

At KCon-LA in 2019, I attended a seminar in which two of the writers of "Euphoria" discussed the process surrounding working for Big Hit, BTS and the KPop industry in general. They had written songs for other idol groups but they focused on BTS. It was a fascinating discussion.
