I think many talented people do this because they feel it undermines all their time spend practicing and perfecting. But for us plebs I don't think it does that. It's more of, all guitar requires practice and skill but the speed you progress and what height you can achieve is from talent.

Is crazy that you are the top of the top, I mean I´ve heard Quayle, Miller, Mantovanelli, Hutchings, you name it... and I think you are notch ahead of ´em. I dont know very many people with better phrasing than Ostro, and good phrasing is something id expect more from a very mature musician. And hes got the top notch technique too. To me hes, although they are different in style, the next Jason Becker. And I say this as Jason is my favorite guitarist of all time. Also dude composes a mean lead guitar.

Many years ago I found a deep rooted fascination with Russia, it's people, it's history and pretty much everything that I discovered about it. In more recent years I started to study Systema and Sambo, through this I met some wonderful friends and it allowed me to discover even more about your beautiful country and it's customs. I also began to learn Russian with the hope of being able to travel to Russia to train and just explore and discover Russia without the barrier of language. I sincerely hope that in the future I will still be able to do this, perhaps it will be music that heals the divisions.
