Project Justice has a special place in my heart. I met most of my current friends through playing that game in the arcade during my college years. I'm glad people will now have a chance to rediscover it. Also, CvS games had my most favorite sprites in all of fighting games!

I just posted over on Jwong that just the fact they have Project Justice on here means they finally got the trademark back. It was listed as "abandoned" in 2021 and there had been several filings for both it AND "Rival Schools" since 2013 but Rival Schools is still lost at the moment. My guess is it's easier to get around regulations by using the JP trademark BUT that means a new "Project Justice" is finally possible!

@@Megaman12Protoman14 Well, let me be clearer: I don't know if it was "lost" per se because of that but I do know from my limited experience that if you don't keep your trademarks up to date you will get stripped and then it's sometimes hell and high water to renew. I think Capcom just simply didn't renew it in time.

@@xarphMakes a lot of sense actually! lol What about trademarks and licenses? They can certainly rebrand a title but with IPs they have to file damb near EVERYthing. The title, names of characters, design, each article of clothing including accessories, etc
