Terry is SNK's attempt to win over the USA nerds, he's so relevant and important that his main franchise had been on pause for almost 30 years.

Its sad that Kyo might be the strongest in the KOF series as he wins the most tournaments and defeated, Ryo, Terry, Iori, K and many more and only matched by Ash after stealing Iori's flames yet people still find Terry legendary because of his legacy of fatal fury games.
