Pretty sure the mystery quartet with the rabbit masks and coffin are a reference to stuff in the original novel. There's a scene where Pinnochio is being a petulant little shit and refusing to let the Blue Fairy treat him when he's injured. To make her point, the Fairy summons four rabbits dressed as undertakers who bring a coffin to Pinnochio's bedside and tell him that if he's going to refuse the Fairy's help he might as well climb in. This scares him into cooperating. The novel also has the Fairy age significantly between two scenes, so the woman at 1:01 and the woman in the wheelchair might both be her

@@malakarvonstroheim5372 Considering the Whaling industry at the time, it could be less of a literal Whale, rather Gepetto was sought after for his craftsmanship and made to work in a workshop that processes Whale Bones into art and cosmetics( Whale Bones were used in corsets a lot). As for the Blue Fairy, I think we've hit the nail on the head. The Old Woman is her literal form, but in Pinocchio's mind, she appears as the younger woman due to some connection.

From the looks of it, he might actually be responsible for the whole mess, considering how many of the enemies are automatons that may have been created by his hand before he finished his ultimate creation, Pinocchio. It's as if Doctor Light didn't exist, and MegaMan was created by doctor Wily, a kind of magnum opus meant to defeat all other robots and in the end, himself. A kind of "student surpassing master" thing, where the creation surpasses the creator.

@@LordDragox412. I'm willing to bet most of the automatons aren't meant to be hostile. A lot of them look like they're meant for either maintenance or entertainment, which perfectly fits the Steampunk environment. Some of them also kind of look like specialist robots if that makes any sense.

Sounds like he says "Fulfill your destiny" at the end which probably means he needs Pinocchio to complete whatever mad scientist thing he's working on or like someone said earlier, needs him to fix the mess he made. I would say it's the former and Geppetto needs whatever is making Pinocchio special (the human side) to complete some weapon or maybe make more automatons like Pinocchio.

I saw gameplay of this game on Facebook early in the year and it was EXTREMELY like Bloodborne right down to the running animation and weapon unsheathing animations likely having been ripped directly from the game. Hopefully it was just used as an asset flip until they figured it out, because this game does look like it's enough of its 'own thing' to skirt any issues unless there's something super obvious.

The golden V badge makes another appearance on the building at 5:06 . I think it says "Venigni"? I don't fully know what it might refer to, but I did find out the the director on a 2003 Pinocchio movie is called Roberto Benigni, so perhaps it's a nod to him? Idk.

Pinocchio being a bad ass weapon wielder is something no one wasn’t expecting me it’s like a fever dream I was been thinking about since 16 not but it did involved with Pinocchio having another human friend to help him out on his mission but this this right here is better than what I have ever imagined. I can’t wait to see another gameplay, and then never seeing anything else and waiting for the game to release

Looks great. Pretty sure it'll follow some of the Pinocchio story, so I think those 4 at the end are the group of 'kids' he goes to the island with where they just eat and party all the time. The ringmaster with the V badge is the bad guy there, and this is the 'quick travel' to that island. Souls equivalent of being picked up by a gargoyle to fly you to the zone.

In the chapter of the book Pinocchio is pretending to be sick and is sent to bed to rest. The Blue Fairy tries to give Pinocchio his medicine and when he wont take it things get truly bizarre. Four Black Rabbits enter the room carrying a small ( Pinocchio size) coffin. Pinocchio quickly gulps down his medicine and the rabbits leave the room in disappointment.

@@flashergoldpower15 Sorry for the wall 'o text. EA basically dropped it as MR didn't perform well enough for them to greenlight another game. So they went to kickstarter to try and get funding for their computer animated shorts to tie off the story. It was called Alice: Otherlands kickstarter from 2013. It's on youtube if you want to check out. The 2018 news was the creator expressing interest in continuing the game as Alice's Asylum for part 3, but has so far had no interest from EA. It was a proposal made due to EA giving the go ahead on the Dead Space remake and he hoped to gain enough groundswell from the fans to prove to EA that there was a market for another game in the series. So far it doesn't look like he got the green light.

I suspect the Shovel is meant to be an early game weapon: Not super powerful, but for your low level at that point, it does the job decently enough. My guess is that early game weapons will be fairly usual, and higher level weapons will get more and more absurd.

This game has an in-game gameplay trailer , showing a whole Section of the Starting Area/Region of the game possibly and likely , since at start they offer you with 3 Selection of playstyles/Classes. ( Dex , Quality or Strength builds ). With the whole theme , the HUD and the Equippment Menu looks pretty fresh and very well done by the Team. So in terms of HUD , you are greeted with your typical Health Bar , Stamina and something called Fable Arts Blue Bar icon. ( Fable Arts is essentially like Weapon Skills or Abilities , i'm not sure if they are Custom but each weapon combo has a Fable Art Skill ability which deals great damage and stagger damage as indicated ). There's your typical Slotted Items , like Flask which with Pinocchio its called Pulse Cell , and other selectable items. Under the Slots you have a new thing also , which is 2 Cogs that keeps Re-Sharpening your weapon. ( So your weapons do have a Degrading sort of mechanic , but for Sharpening its Free and only costs you the Sharp animation which is a Delay , i like this mechanic and certainly it has to do with Damage or Groggy which is Stance-breaking in Lies of P sort of ). On your Far rightside , you have something called Legion Arm... A prized posession i'd say that plays a big role in the Combats Mechanic of this Game. ( Legion Arm is basically like Sekiro's Prothetic Arm , and their different Shinobi Tools ). But the Arm has different upgrades and only 1 arm is equipped at a time from your Stargazer bonefires , Legion Arm uses a Special Bar that is refilled with certain Items , kinda like your Mana Flask but its Unrefillable. As for the whole Equippment Menu. ( You can have 2 weapons at all times , and each weapon is Customized with its Lower part , the Handle is another feature which gives your weapons different features or shapes or different Combat approaches that later will be Revealed ). Then a single Attire suit which is only Chest Piece that you can change , the Gauntlet not the Legion Arm , 3 distinct Gears which i assume is Trinkets or Talismans maybe.... Then Lastly 3-4 equippable items , do Note that Pulse Cells your Flask doesn't require a Slot i think because it refills gradually when you attack enemies but slowly , which is a neat mechanic. As for Attributed , there are attributes like Technique , Vitality/Vigor etc.... But i think from what the initial Demo Gameplay implied , when you play Pinocchio , there are 3 Distinct Classes to go for. ( Agility Dex guy , Quality build guy and lastly your Strength boy build ). What's interesting mainly when i saw all this , is the Weapon approaches i think you are giving customizable Handles for Weapon heads so that you can change the move-sets of those weapons depending on what parts you jam into the weapon heads , resulting in a Swift Combo , to Medium paced Combo all the way to Heavy-combo attacks.... Along with the Legion Arm you have yourself an Arsenal of choices to build and choose from. ( That is all basic however , pretty sure each weapon has different Fable Arts , and Combo's that can later be unlocked and specialy the Upgrades for the Legion Arms which is quite interesting.... As for Legion Arms the Demo only showed 4 , but i'm pretty sure they are tied to Story or Treasure hidden places or Tough Bosses to unlock ). The Gameplay also offers a Block system , with Perfect Parry... And an added Rally mechanic similar to Bloodborne actually. ( The Rally healthback in Lies of P however is only gained when your character is hurt when Blocking attacks , and not Perfect Blocking.... While blocking you take minor kinda like chip damage , while loosing partial Grey Health that can be recovered with Hits ). It's a similar rally mechanic , but instead it only offers it to you when you Block... So its pretty crucial to block kind of in this Game , atleast for certain Enemies and Bosses for sure.... That's pretty much all from what i've saw and its really good for a Souls-title , the Overall mechanics suits the gameplay and enemies aswell.... I could be wrong , but seeing some huge tougher enemies who aren't Bosses even seemed abit Harsh for new comers and who can't figure out how to Adapt with the Gameplay , cuz for Souls-vets it'll be fine.... But for casual new comers it might be pretty Challenging exactly like how Bloodborne started , thats why i'm stocked to play this Game lol. 😂 They should've announced a Release Date , since the 13min Gameplay showed much of the Region's area , Enemies and also a Clown Tough Boss... This should mean the game is atleast about done for a Demo. The initial gameplay also was pretty good had no issues at all or bugs etc.

This is kinda random but the aesthetics and some of the elemental lighting effects makes me want a Fullmetal Alchemist game like this. So much of this style seems like it would fit with that story. But this game looks cool too

@@ShirouBrando hell yes. Dante had style switching which was flexible af. Nero's whole design was fine except for his breaker system which was both restrictive and messy. You constantly needed to hold back on using their ult because they don't replenish and since breaker + lock on = wire snatch, you couldn't properly target the ult or sometimes even the basic breaker move unless it's a single target you're facing.

The last Pinoccio game that was really good I played was on SNES i think 1994, it was a platform game. But this looks astonishing, it should be called Lies of B, Lies of Bloodborne. I'll get it Day 1.

This is the only non-fromsoft "soulslike" game I've ever seen that actually gets animation on the weapon swings right. It feels weighty and powerful, not floaty and weak.

Strange, some of the hit animations were my only problem with this trailer, I feel like they start nice and weighty but the active hit and follow through frames are a bit too snappy for how large the weapon is. If they removed a couple frames from the startup and added a couple to the followthrough it would be a bit more realistically weighty. Who knows though, for game feel it's probably better how it is, I just think it looks a little bit not as good as the souls games.
