OK but can we take a second to really appreciate Kimberly's design aspects. Her top is clearly modeled after Guy's gi and she also wears the same bright red chuck Taylor's he does, she just has baby blue shoe laces. The use of red, yellow, and baby blue is pretty common in certain African clothes, if you look at her hair bow you can kinda see what they were going for. He clothes in general are a good marriage between personality and function. Bushinryu as its presented in street fighter is all about speed and agility, strike swiftly kind of thing. Which is probably why she went to learn bushinryu in the first place. She's a trackstar which plays into why she calls herself ninja star and her in place running stuff. Her move set is comparable to guys obviously but it's similar in the same way Sean and Sakuras are to the ppl they take after. It's imperfect, largely shown by her needing a running start up the wall for her super. God she's just very well thought out and I love her weird ass. Even the 80s thing kinda plays to final fight being retro af. God this is a great chatacter

I'm really digging these new faces man. I hope this makes sense when I say it, but the weird thing is to me the more realistic faces look so much more expressive, like there's more meaning you can glean from looking at them, even though _before_ they had these cartoony faces that hyper emoted. Like Juri was always crazy but with the more realistic face it's so much more readable _how_ crazy. It might be the fact that they're less removed from a real human face now so the expressions will register on a more instinctual level.

The way Kimberly utilizes her spray paint cans as smoke bombs and graffiti like a ninja is full of the exaggerated swagger of a black teen. It gives me goosebumps every time I replay this trailer. All kidding aside, yo props to Capcom for Kimberly's design! You can definitely see the heart and soul they carefully put into this character. You can tell that she's Guy's disciple just from the attire alone and her background as a ninja, but GOODNESS the way she utilizes those spray paint cans like a smoke bomb to teleport and her Level 3 to create that graffiti on the floor is so original! [correct me if this was done in other forms of media] I also LOVE her hair and the fact that she's a black Ibuki ("Bushinryu on the scene!"), but in her own way. I just love her character so much! I probably won't main her because I'm not very good with Ibuki, and I hated fighting her, so this love probably won't last long. 🤣🤣🤣 I'm more of a Juri main, which is another story for later. 😏

Agreed. The story behind Sean’s character and the way Capcom handled him is disheartening. They literally flip flopped on his character background and put him into obscurity. In SF3: New Generation, he shared the same stage with Alex in New York. His basketball resembles the classic Harlem Globetrotters ball. They basically erased all of that. Alas, people weren’t as enlightened in 1997 as they are now, and I’m sure that Sean ruffled some feathers internally at Capcom as well. But it would still be cool to see him in SF6 as a solid character.

I think Kimberly looks amazing and adorable! I love her style and energy and her combos look insanely fun and satisfying to play around with and pull off! As for Juri, while I do think her moves look absolutely great, I'm more interested with her personality; I had figured since Dictator was done for, she wouldn't have that motivation anymore and I was right. Something I noticed to, the whole jump in medium punch into EX dive kick thing she had in sf4 is also returning, they showcased that in the trailer. I'm glad they decided to make her a hybrid of the two, I just hope whenever she does have some stuff stored it carries over between rounds. Why it didn't in sfv is beyond me

Anti Airs were way more present in sfv and it was likely intentional. So they probably didnt want to have her have it. Especially it being a medium button. ALTHOUGH, I think they shouldve given it to her in the definitive patch. In sf4u she could use it and juggle in the air still as an anti air punish. That fits right in with sfv now because bison has his air juggle jabs
