I'm revisiting this (from my new-ish account), and it's almost nostalgic... Mr Bashmet is the man who truly inspired me to continue with viola [and music in general]. I believe I was about to quit.. but *luckily* KZbin had just come out and/or I'd just discovered it and if I hadn't discovered this brilliant performance: I'd probably be working at a grocery store or gas station or fixing shoes or *whatever* ! I'm truly grateful to have discovered him. I played this piece at my girlfriend's funeral 3 years ago. I was about a week away from proposing to her, but she very suddenly passed away from leukaemia. This piece, in my opinion, really reflected how I felt at the time, and I guess.... still does reflect the waves of sadness that come over me when I think about her. Feel free to check out my channel if you'd like. I never imagined that I'd upload for than 5 pieces or so and also I'm not interested in the whole "click to subscribe" thing, I don't really care for those goals of "hitting 10k subs" and such to make money. I just want to release music. All the best to you all out there in many different parts of the world!
