I particularly like Saul Newman's handling of this subject in his "Spectres of Stirner." I understand Stirner's analysis to mean that avoiding the prison of a humanist ideal is also to consume it - or as Newman puts it, "to exceed" it. He merely identifies that, while you are human, you are this human, and so exceed your humanness. All that is human is yours, and, all that is yours is yours. Stirner's point then, is that humanism does not solve the problems it means to solve, and in in centering 'the Human Being', produces further problems in need of dissolution. Humanism fails to actually overcome the religiosity of Christianity - "our atheists are pious people" - and fails to achieve its goal of unifying humanity (inherently splitting each individual human (they're split between the human in them, and the thereby inhuman in them), and dividing all humans between humans and egoists). Instead, the dissolution of both the problems humanism is made for, and the problems it produces, is by dissolving them wholesale, drawing attention not to any conceptual solution, but the in-conceptual thisness of the Unique. I'd argue that egoism is technically a kind of subjective trans-humanism, a liquidation (devouring) of the human subject, the idea, i.e. humanness. Through "I," the Unique, the Nothing, "my" Humanness is devoured in my Ownness. PS: I see that you're operating with that old translation "The Ego and Its Own," which has been one of the primary sources for many misconceptions surrounding Stirner. I think the more recent translation by Feral Faun is a lot better with a pretty clear introduction and translation notes throughout the text.

“I am human, just like the earth is a planet. As ridiculous as it would be to set the earth the task of being a ‘correct star,’ it is just as ridiculous to burden me with the calling to be a ‘correct human being.’” - Max Stirner

I love your videos! I sent a link to your channel to my partner! Also, did you read Wolfi Landstreicher’s translation of Stirner’s book? To me, it’s far superior to Byington‘s 1907 translation.

Do you think the anarcho-variant of transhumanism is any better? Apparently, it doesn't have a hostility to critiques of humanism, abandoment or modification of the humanist project so as to free all human beings from fixating themselves on only one attribute and live their lives while enjoying the fruits of their labor/creation. "Transhumanism can be seen as either an aggressive critique of humanism, or alternatively as an extension of specific humanist values beyond the arbitrary species category of “human.” Transhumanism demands that we interrogate our desires and values beyond the happenstance of What Is, accepting neither the authority of arbitrary social constructs like gender nor a blind fealty to how our bodies presently function." Taken from An Anarcho-Transhumanist FAQ. There is a very limited number of literatures on anarcho-transhumanism due to the dominant image of transhumanism as the biopolitical techno-cult in which "everyone uploads their brain to the mainframe." On the other hand, the only available literatures are all from William Gillis and his ilk, who seem to hold the monopoly on the tendency so as to block the bureaucratic communists from getting a hold of it.
