@@stanleyho8009 I think it comes down to people's brains, some are into the Asian languages, some Latin/romantic and some are more into the Germanic languages, probably also a cultural thing, I found little interest in the Spanish/Italian cultural, they make some good movies and have amazing music but beyond that even their humor is kinda childish and over the top for me, I started with little dutch then switched to German cause my chances were better, then the covid -19 happened and I found myself without a second thought learning dutch, even in the middle of me learning it I was still in the mind set of I'm just having fun with it , no pressure, I guess that was a huge part for me to love it cause I've never pressured myself to learn it. It just happened, then I watched some channels like de Telegraaf and so, that talk about mental health sometimes and eating disorders and such, which I really find interesting topics, German Funk channels group do that as well, anyway I've been learning German for over a year but not very efficient ways most of that time, and Dutch for almost 4 months which I like to consider way more efficient and I find myself talk faster and better in Dutch than I do in German although I didn't practice speaking enough. But did a lot of reading most of that time, and I understand reading way faster, it's mostly a mixture of English and German tbh.
