An old friend, the 54" Nicholas-Beazley NB-3 rubber-powered free-flight model built in 2015, flew again in Wawayanda, NY after being in the hangar for a few years. Based on the classic design by Dave Rees, the model of the 1929 aircraft was build and flown by Tom Hallman over the course of two days on September 3 & 4, 2024. Filmed with a Canon PowerShot SX20, iPhones 11Pro & 14Pro, and a #32 key ring mini-camera (18 grams @) 1080p) with the 120 degree lens. Available on ebay from the reputable seller, eletoponline365 via this link: www.ebay.com/i...
Music via the talented musicians at artist.io, who breathe life into my films.
The model uses a homemade 14" prop. Motor: 2 loops of 3/16" and 2 loops of 1/4", each 49" long.
Typical flights use 1300-1450 turns.
