I just recieved a sample of Pegasus exclusif. Not proud to admit it but brought a tear to my eye. It reminds me so much of a scent I've been hunting for almost 2 years. Beautiful scent. Very smooth and creamy with a tiny bit of bite. Stunning absolutely stunning.

I wasn't a huge fan of Pegasus and thought it was too harsh as well. But the Exclusif tones that down and makes it smoother, deeper, smokier and complex...so good!

Love PDM especially Herod. I liked both original Pegasus and Layton Exclusif too but didn’t like them enough to pull the trigger on the full bottle. I agree with you that the original Pegasus was a little to punchy and sharp in the opening and that’s why I didn’t love it. I gladly was able to try the Pegasus Exclusif at Nordstrom. OMG!!! Love it so much at the first sniff and got the 125ml bottle right away. It doesn’t have the sharp aggressive opening and it’s definitely warmer, darker, smokier, smoother than the original. I love they added cardamom and Oud to it. It has the exclusif accord that I love. It feels like a mix of the Pegasus original and Layton Exclusif so this is a perfect combination of the 2 of my ‘likes’ (then it became LOVE). It’s a 10/10 for me.

Original pegasus was reformulated once Pegasus exclusif came out. Reformulated is okay, I have both and exclusif is a bomb compared to reformulated original. Exclusif 10/10 original 9/10

Definitely better than the original Pegasus for me. Since I got this I'm wearing it 24/7. Even to bed! I love it, it's become one of my fave niche fragrances. I've also got Herod, Layton and Percival so very happy with the PDM collection as it covers all seasons.

My only concern is, my country has hot weather for 8 months. So I could pull off the orginal Pegasus with little sprays even in the hot weather. This is a bit darker, perhaps makes it less versatile for me I guess. But yet to try it.

I just got a sample and you're right, it's much better. It also doesn't have the potentially off-putting aspects of layton exclusif, which I love but can be cloying and can't see myself wearing outside of a black tie situation.

Hello, Max! I am a big fan of the horses. I own Layton, Layton Ex, Pegasus, Pegasus Ex. The sharpness in the OG comes with the cumin(a nothe, that i hardly dislike, althouhg in Pegasus is great). I prefer the Ex than the OG, much smoother, much woodier, a grown up version of the OG, just like the Layton, but here are more floral components, than the layton Ex, that is semy coffe, semi animalic. To me Pegasus is a beast in terms of projection, this one is much shier in my skin, maybe it is an anosmia, i don't know. Both stay on my skin easily 10 hours +. I love the exlusifes versions better than the originals, both Layton and Pegasus, which still are Bangers. Greetings from Bulgaria!

Max amazing review 👏, I got a sample from Parfum de Marly a few days ago. My opinion I wished they would made this version first, Peagus to me leaned on feminine to unisex but Pegasus Exclusif made a huge improvement with the Oud and removing the metallic note . Can't to see what the next Exclusif is going to be I'm for hoping Godophlin Exclusif or Herod Exclusif.

I’m a huge fan of PDM but I’m torn btwn PEGASUS EXCLUSIF and CARLISLE. Carlisle is such a compliment getter but honestly I don’t enjoy it that much when I wear it. I enjoy Pegasus so much but I don’t feel it’s appropriate for work.

Thanks for the review on Salvatore Ferrangamo Homme Oud that one is awesome lasted 11 hours on my skin which is very hard. Have you tried Bvlgari Man in Black Orient ? Anyway thanks for the review.

Original I know you have a very very old batch. New batches super suck in terms of sillage and projection. Forget olfactory fatigue, is just like Herod, it lacks on performance. Exclusif I know is way stronger

Good to know thank you for your answer. I have Layton exclusif and a sample of Pegasus Exclusif. The dark notes that are added to Pegasus Exclusif remind me of the same ones in Layton exclusif. I think they drydown similar. Although I think Pegasus Exclusif just might be winning for me as it’s a bit creamy smoother in the drydown and does not have the civet note that Layton exclusif has🙂

Because Carlisle was initially exclusive to Herods London, on release. Same applies with their Arabian collections (Habdan, Nisean, Oajan, etc). They have their regular lines and then their exclusif lines. If it comes in the bigger box, names in the bottle lol. Picked up Carlisle last week. Loving it more n more.

Pegasus exclusif is quite a horrid fragrance in my opinion!! Dry down is a bit better than the opening but overall i don't dig it, goes in a total differnt direction to the original pegasus it's way too dark and bitter. ( just first impression tho ) certainly get best out of it in cold winter weather, defo sample before purchasing! ✌

Damn hearing the Exclusif review i sampled the wrong Pegasus. Sampled the original today. Very linear flat boring lavender almond vanilla vibe. Needed more for a winter scent. Irritating fragrance reviewers are recommending original for winter but imo its too light. Original is more early spring scent w the lavender. I wouldnt want an almond lavender scent for the fall and not sweet and punchy enough for the winter.
