CRANKWORX ROTORUA WAS AN INSANE COMPETITION with crazy conditions throughout the week! It was for sure the most challenging MTB event I've ever done. Hard wind & rain storms made it super hard to practice for the contest. We had close to none practice at all compared to other competitions we usually do. After a hectic day of contes we managed to put on a show and go through with the event! I managed to place 4th overall and that was for sure a result that made me more than satisfied!! My name is Max Fredriksson! I’m a 26 years old professional MTB athlete from Stockholm - Sweden! After becoming the vice world champion in 2016 I’ve dealt with a ton of injuries from contests. I currently compete at the highest level of Slopestyle MTB riding in the ’’Slopestyle world championships’’ at Crankworx events all around the world. Honestly this last event made me be very happy for the slopestyle “community”, everyone landed their runs and got stoked watching their mates landing theirs too… Nicholi was super happy to give Emil the triple crown. It is a great sport for sure :)

1. The Intro was really, really good. TBH I’m just as excited to see what your next intro will be as the video itself. 2. Rotorua has not been good to you the last few years and not taking a second run was strategically the safer option (dodging a bullet.) my question then is had you not had a good first run, been in 6,7,or 8th place, would you have taken the second run under the existing conditions. If you have another pod cast I hope you talk about that. 3. It’s very clear you deserve to be in the top 5, you demonstrated that, that was a rock solid ride-I literally held my breath the whole run. Max to be completely honest you should add a frontflip combo inside your run to level out the variety. Emil and nicholi bothe have one and there scores sky rocketed because of the variety.
