What I love about slopestyle is the support amongst riders. Everyone gets hyped for each other. No trash talking; just love.

Dude, you have nothing to prove anymore. You're Max. A huge example for all riders across the world in riding and as beeing a great guy. Skipping one contest to be able to ride others comfortably should be your goal. Crashing like that ain't no joke, as you probably know very well yourself. We all love you anyways. Godspeed for Innsbruck and greetz from The Netherlands. You will crush it anyways. ;)

I dont know how to say this in a less full on way, but as someone with a TBI and has dealt with the thought of having suspected CTE for a year now a thought that still dwells in the back of my mind all the time but a little less loudly, I beg for people to respect theirs and others head injuries. I used to say I was lucky for not breaking bones and only hitting my head on the pushy because my mates had lost months of riding but... Im 28 now it happend at 13 and ive lost my 20s at the very least and I would break bones to undo it. massive Respect to you for taking this approach man

My goodness Max. You have been through it. So glad to see you are in a better place. You are a huge influence and determined fella. You said before you are hardest on yourself but you did what you felt was right at the time. Now you are a bit wiser and thankfully you are in a good place. I admire your persistence, determination and drive. Hope you stay well and get to knock a damned good run. Well done and I wish you the very best.

Healing vibes to you mate. You're an inspiration and creating awareness of what actually happens during a concussion will help riders everywhere to recognise the symptoms in their friends if they have a big crash. Thank you for being awesome. Come back to Aus soon.

you have a lot of heart and even more courage, but sometimes the bravest thing you can do is walk away, you have your health and thats more important than a contest. youre gonna train hard and kill it in the next one like you always do and all of us here are backing you up and supporting your decisions. love and respect from the states

Rehab and support yes, 0:36 neck adjustment just say no fucking way. Surfers have been blowing up shoulder and necks forever, going on full lock down and that violent neck adjustment treatment will come back to bite you in the 🍑 later. Take the slow and steady rehab route, not that 💩 that you think makes you feel good on the fast track to recovery. If that rehab bloke still insists neck adjustment is good, he's not the bloke for you.

We only Did these clips the other way, it was 2 weeks after the crash! So all the treatment before that was without adjustment.

Its crazy how much we have learned about concussions these days!! I have had about 4 or 5 in my life. Back in the day, we would still keep riding!! Back then i rode dirt bikes i did not discover DH MTB till about 10 years ago and only one concussion doing that and i was far in the wood and kept riding till i got home but headache. Be 40 this year!!! Makes me wonder how those affected me!! I dont think i noticed anything but i for my 1st one when i was in 3rd grade playing baseball in friend backyard and being a catcher no pads and kid in front of me hitting the ball let go of the metal bat when tried to hit the ball and the bat hit me right in the temple hard. my face was so black and blue after. I do recall after i got hit i walked over to a tire swing and then everyone was like go to your parents walked across the street home and then acted goofy my parents said. they brought me to the doc but they never did any X-Rays or anything!! Worse part about that one was the amount of people teachers and stuff assuming my parents beat me and my parents never put a hand on me my entire life!!! I got pulled aside like at least 5 times the week after and they were pushing on me to so yes it was my parents. I remember i made this mistake of telling them me and my dad wrestle the 1st time they asked cause i had no idea what they meant being in 3rd grade. My dad tough my wrestling when i was young!!! well thought i would share!!! Great vid and wish you a podium finish for the next one!!!

@AC-ww6nf7 ай бұрын
With the amount of head injuries he's had. I personally would definitely look to a different brand for helmets. There's still a lot of energy still being transferred to the head.
@Awesomekiid137 ай бұрын
@@AC-ww6nf I don't know if he has a custom helmet or not, but I can't find a fullface helmet of said brand with Mips and that's bullshit if you ask me.

6d helmets are statistically the best
@AC-ww6nf7 ай бұрын
@@Awesomekiid13 the Leatt helmets has the 360 turbine technology. BK had some nasty crashes and the head injury was kept to a minimum. I'll try one of those when it's time to get a fullface for myself.
