I heard this for the first time in Jamaica in 1990, it was brand new, they played it at the Boat Bar in Negril, visiting as a guest of the family of the Moonrise Villa, best cooking and hospitality... so this amazing song is playing, I'm just floored by this beautiful message, looking out to the sea in the night, sound of the waves, tears streaming down my young face, now a much old(er) woman, this song is nothing less than an anthem for life, I'm still floored by it every time...all we can do is try your best, love and pray pray pray for us all.... Fantastic performance! I first heard this song when it first came out, while visiting friends in Jamaica, as a young woman with my life in front of me, standing on a beach in the twilight, this song was playing and it changed my life, so deeply, so beautifully.
