There are (in the latter part of his career) performances on KZbin where it's horrendously out of tune haha. Well... perhaps "horrendously" is a bit much... but definitely "noticeably" out of tune sums it up correctly.

I'm impressed by how the practice session (separately, slowly, etc...) is SO beautiful, it just sounds as a full musical beautiful piece by itself, I could just stop at hearing the practice session on its own, it is amazing to listen to !!

That’s because Chaconne was written with a lot of arpeggios, which are basically separated chords.

Practice technique with musical involvement and drama. Vengerov is such a world class player! I really enjoy listening to his philosophies and approach to violin playing. Just to add a little note from my own experiences. Be mindful when you shift and don't shift too much when playing a triple stop phrase like this. Just moving the fingers and keeping the thumb in place gives you more power and control. That's the way Heifetz did it and he sure could play the fiddle too!
