Just bought a very well maintained 2013 Maxima with 130-thousand miles on it... these posts make me feel very good about its future! It has had regular oil checks, trans fluid changes and all the things you would expect..new battery, new struts, brakes, etc that kind of routine stuff. Maintenance records are immaculate and the car looks and runs like new! I always properly maintain my cars, so in light of these comments, the future looks bright!

The CVT will last long if you maintain it properly.

My 2017 Nissan Maxima has a little over 201 thousand miles. I bought her new. Other than a slight leak somewhere. She’s perfect

These 4th gens are bulletproof my dad had a 96 5 speed with 290k miles on it and if ran good all it needed was some front end work and she would’ve been perfect

You left the car on the street?

Do you mean how it got impounded? To explain better: when I was moving, I needed to leave this car parked for a few months while I moved, got settled, and had time to come back and get it. I took my other cars first. I parked the Maxima in front of my neighbor's house (with her permission of course) and she was just fine with it, but technically it's a public street and the tags were expired by over 6 months. It caught the eye of highway patrol and they impounded it. It was a bummer! I didn't really have a use for the car anymore, I didn't have anywhere to park it at my new home, and it was going to cost way more to get it back then it was worth, so I had to let it go

@@bigtex144 Thanks for the response. Leaving it there was basically asking for what eventually happened. I bought a '97 Maxima just before the winter and put it away. It has 44,000 miles and was a one owner farmer in NC. I bought from the estate but had been sitting a few years but it's immaculate & I just spent about $4,000 just to sort out the problems. Two(2) days ago I put on a new set of michelins. The car is incredible. Maybe the best I've ever had. In late '03 I leased a new '04 Maxima and it didn't compare to this. I also had an immaculate '03 Maxima that also didn't compare. The 4th gens rock.
