Excellent game. Good to see Ursus claws getting a run-out AND being effective! Got to say I don't think I have ever seen so many 'Weapon' location results in a single game - and I've watched a fair few battle reports. A few of those going 'Body' instead could have really changed things (was 'Special' even rolled? Don't think so).

@@Tabletop_Standard As i am playin' Fureans it is nice to add Iben Faruk (titan of legend) with a natural 3+ command, calling the other warhound the princeps and getting orders on the hounds on 2+ when Warlord is still in play. This is so awesome. And in addition for close quarters the bonus to hit for the hounds is so damn bloody awesome. Reminds me that i need to play a Mandatum again. :D

Great collaboration. Quick question, an hour and 20 minutes in, the warhounds did called shots with their plasma blast guns. Did they have a specific trait to be able to do that or was that just an oversight? It is my understanding you can't do called shots with blast weapons. Fun bat rep and keep up the great work.

I couldn't find the mistake? The Warlord was aiming with his plasma at 1hr 20 which can do targeted attacks

The sad thing about Volkites is that they're objectively inferior while being more expensive. Just one of those and they would be a flavour pick, but with both it's just too hard to take.

Vulcans are seriously a contender for one of the best weapons. Even at s4 they still account for a lot of titan kills once you add the armour bonuses. Need a price hike perhaps?

Yeah, Vulcans are the best shield-shredders and a serious contender for killing blows. I could see a price swap between these two being reasonable, a price hike would probably sit better with people than any nerf to the Vulcan which it would otherwise need.

The important thing is that the volkite now has a role where it does more damage than the VMB - the downside is just that this role is the edge case rather than the norm where the VMB is still much cheaper. Now the volkite is more effective than the VMB at shooting with a malus to hit, essentially. Against shields, at long range and with a greater than -1 other malus to hit the volkite will pull slightly ahead if you ignore the draining and points cost. It also means it can location snipe reliably, for fewer hits than the VMB but marginally more strength. Still not "worth" the points in a power level sense, but at least now they have a role (skirmishing across interposing cover or the like).
