only WEAK people are afraid to change their mind, because they are worried what other people might say about them. STRONG people keep abreast of the facts and situation as a whole and modify their stance accordingly, when appropriate. LOYALTY is a different thing again, so dont use that one against me and show your ignorance.

I hope she stays and that the tory members choose her as leader. Then the tories will lose the next election as well. The majority of reasonable people see her for what she really is and so they will not vote for her.

Whatever she's doing, she's spinning round the plughole of doom and it's of her own doing, in fact, the tory party as a whole should start using the old British Leyland plughole of doom logo for the party, cos they're all going down the drain...

If any MP leaves their party and switches the election should be retaken. She knows she will not be leader of the Tory party so will jump ship if she loses.

If she didn't speak so badly of the lgbt community, Iain would be quiet about it. Only when he's directly affected or offended, he speaks up. Check out what he said about striking train workers when he had a leg injury and needed assistance at train stations, vs what he said before.

I see a path where she tries for tory leader, fails, goes to reform, then self destruction of the party commences. Fingers crossed 😆

Not exactly a surprise if she chooses to join Reform. I had thought she would as soon as she realised she wasn't as loved as she believed amongst Tories. If she's vying for power she won't have a chance against Farage. Their cult leader.

Know-it-all Iain Dale, the not-MP for Tunbridge Wells, who praised England's team for patriotically singing God Save The King , lambasting the Spanish team for not singing along to their anthem (which is an instrumental, with zero lyrics) ? Who cares what he has to say?

If an MP decides to charge to another political party then there has to be a local election in that constituency, this can not go on

The tories are set for a long period in opposition and they are struggling to find a coherent identity. Many of the seats they lost to the libdems will be very difficult to get back and lot's of the people who voted reform were just pisses off with what they thought Labour was, but as time goes on and Labour deal with the dysfunction the tories left behind, many of those reform votes will return to Labour. Especially if a coherent response to immigration is put in place. And if reform party members keep showing their own interests are financial and not really about actually doing anything meaningful.

Absolutely agree. Nothing better than seeing the tories shrink further, but If they seriously want to start the process of turning it around, lurching further to the right won't be the answer. Labour's success in large part because they have moved back to the centre.

@glennaustin37 culture wars and big personalities can win power, but eventually, the lack of genuine plans and competence gets found out. And inevitably, this leads to the grown ups getting back into power. I wish we could end this cycle, but unfortunately, humans are easily bored and the right wingers will fund a new personality to get behind with grand words and the sheep will follow. But for now, we have a chance to fix the mess and I'm grateful for that.

Dale is not a Conservative, he should be in the Libdums. Didn't he try to stand as a conservative MP but had to step down when it came to light his comments on the constituency.
