Do you have a video where you show how to replace the silicone seals inside the cooking chamber?
@RumandCook24 күн бұрын
No sorry. I haven’t had to do mine yet. Shouldn’t be too bad though. Just pull/scrap the old stuff away. Clean with CitruSafe and then put a bead of high temp silicone in place. Then just use a paper towel or a silicone bead tool and give it a wipe. As long as there are no gaps you should be good. 🍻

How to remove the internal fan was extremly helpful. My Yoder 640 will be three years old in October. It was showing "error code" "not communicating with the host. Yoder Customer Service is replacing the temp control unit free of charge! $429 value! I have it apart except for the internal fan, this video again really helped! I kept looking for bolts holding the housing in place? You made a lot of good tips on reinstalling the wiring as well ! Great job!!

@@kfowler09091957 same problem here! Just over three years old and communication error. In Canada we have to go through SmokerBroker (Yoders distributor here) who had me contact Fireboard. They eventually sent me a new unit.

I did this upgrade in February and the fans at first ramp up are a little louder but you can hear they are pulling more air too. They are still quieter than the old fans when it was around 5 degrees outside. Easy upgrade and I feel well worth the money. Should have many years of trouble free service now. Good job on the video.

Thanks. Yep def a little louder. Heats up quicker as well. Thanks for watching! 🍻

Hey! Did this in January. Can you post if you get more ash blowing around in the pizza oven with these? I got the oven and upgrade at the same time. I seem to have quite a bit, but don’t know if that’s normal.
@RumandCook9 ай бұрын
Ash is directly related to the pellets. Some have more ash than others. That being said, you will notice ash no matter what. I generally try and keep the inside as clean as possible when using the wood fired oven. Additionally once it’s full preheated I’ll clean the stone and then cook on it. For longer cooks I’ll cover the dish for most of the cook and then use the over the top heat for browning. I don’t think the fans add to it. Hope this helps. 🍻

Yr timing is perfect, I smoked a butt Sunday and the fan was not happy. But it finally calmed down and the butt was delicious. Wish you would have mentioned the cost of the new fans. Stay happy!

I’m not sure to be honest. It’s the standard fan in the 1500 though. 🍻

Been tempted to upgrade due to the noise of the 640s stock fans. Any reason you didn't share before and after sound clips? (Though after reading some comments here about how the new fan was louder, now I'm even more confused about whether to upgrade or not?) Any help/advise welcome. 🙏
@RumandCook9 ай бұрын
I highly doubt you would be able to really hear the difference properly on video. The new fans are louder, but it’s because they are moving more air and the Yoder gets up to temp even quicker. All pellet grills use fans and make a fair amount of noise when running. If the stock fans are too loud, upgrading will not fix anything. If your unit makes a kind of grinding sound during start up and then the fans return to a normal sound after a few minutes, upgrading will help. If you think the unit was too loud from day one, that’s just the normal sound and upgrading will make it louder. 🍻

These fans are a game changer. I was having ash build up in the fire pot all the way up the pellet Shute. After the upgrade no more ash after a 14 hour pulled ham. I would highly recommend.

If you use it in the winter you will eventually. The noise will go away once it warms up so it could last years before you are forced to. 🍻
