So I think I have a solution for how Megatron became a dragon. 1. He uptook Megatron’s spark, which we know has the ability to change a transformer’s body from Primal’s earlier act. 2. Megatron is dropped in lava. 3. Terrorsaur and Scorponok were also dropped into lava at the end of season 1 and never recovered. I think T2 Megatron is actually a fuzor, a combination of a Tyrannosaurus, Pteranodon, and Scorpion, the latter explaining the pronged dragon tail, all made possible by combining sparks with the original Megatron and bodies of Terrorsaur and Scorpinok.

I was thinking since Primal got 4 modes was because so did Prime (Example: Robot, Truck, Attack Trailer Base and Roller. And BW Megatron changed his name to Megatron, maybe the reasom why he got a Dragon form was that he's a decendent of the Terracons.

Yeah, I also wish they kept Silverbolt and Rhinox as good guys, and instead used Inferno and Quickstrike’s sparks for Jetstorm and Tankor. Granted, they too would probably look like shit. But hey, at least we would’ve been spared the butchering of Rhinox’s character.

Blackarachnia's Transmetal 2 body is pretty awesome. It's way better than her crappy reformatted in Beast Machines. She's pretty much badass in "Crossing The Rubicon" and "Master Blaster", mostly in "Master Blaster" where she saved her fellow Maximals (if you considered her as a "Maximal" after Transmetalizication), freed Optimus Primal from Tarantulas and Quickstrike's control and also stop a bomb from destroying the volcano where the Maximals' base since Season 3 and The Ark are in, which it can destroys the time-space continuum and prevent the Great War from ever happening.

13:50 I can explain it...there's often been a theory that the idea for dragons originates from ancient peoples finding the fossils of Dinosaurs and falsely assuming them to be dragons or in other cases giants. But anywho Megatron's first and second form were T-rexs and thus it almost makes a perverse sense that whilst Primal becomes the latest in technology, Megatron becomes the exact opposite and something linked with his beast mode no less, a dragon. Also I'd be a little sad not to mention the colours of the dragon, the original Megatron became a Walther P38, a gun with ties to the Nazis and what were the Nazi Colours? Red, Black and White but also Yellow if you count the little extra flares on their flags, So megatron's colours in his dragon form could be linked with the Walther P38, Megatron G1's Vehicle form, by noting the colouring of Beast Wars Megatron Dragon is very similar...yeah I know it's a stretch but I'm trying!

Strange how the alien radiation somehow had reached through the Predacon base and already started all sorts of shutdown, and Tigerhawk hasn’t even entered the Earth’s atmosphere yet. Shouldn’t the radiation also cause all sorts of problems also for everything around as well if it was that powerful? Still no explanation for the Dragon form. If anything, aside from the Spark, I always chalked it up to also the magma reacting to the synthetic organic material that Megatron’s body is made of and caused a genetic mutation. When Megatron would later get trapped in Savage/Noble, the mutated genetic material likely also merged with the fossilized remains of a humanoid wolf-like being. Would have liked for them to delve into the mythology and history of the supposed original inhabitants, whom, from rumors I’ve only heard of, supposedly did what Noble did- transform from beast to beast.

On a side note: There is a deleted secene that has confirmed to be cannon in wich after inmobilizing Dragon Megatron, Optimus forcefully removes the G1 Megatron's spark from him and place it back into it's body, restoring the timeline continuity. ... I stil don't know why they remove this little scene that fill a plot hole

In "Master Blaster", Megatron did the same thing of what Optimus Primal did in "Optimal Situation" (aka The Agenda Part 4). Optimus Primal temporary puts his ancestor, Optimus Prime's spark into his body and got a new, more powerful and advanced body, while Megatron thinking of putting his ancestor, the original Megatron's spark into his own body. Megatron did it more intentionally because he wants to be more powerful and greater than ever before.

Oh I understand the reasoning behind it, I was merely joking about the fact that he became a dragon. Primal became a ship of some sort with both an ape and a robot mode, and yet Megatron became a dragon instead of a vehicular T-rex (that's not on roller skates). I know why they made him a dragon (because of the toy obviously), but it's still kinda random. AWESOME...but random.

He might have a factory inside his body that can produce servants for himself. He has something like that in Dream Wave's Energon comics. Megatron took advantage of this by constructing himself a new body, after his consciousness was able to separate itself from a mass of consumed life forms and souls inside Unicron's belly. This is what happen to him after the ending events of DW's Armada comics.

My theory of Megatron's beast form changing to Dragon was because he was in lava, Dragons are associated with that kind of climate so maybe a Dragon's fossils got scanned? Also a second reason must be because the toy was made a Dragon. There just wasn't an astute explination in the show.

He did temporary puts his ancestor, the original Optimus Prime's spark, which it contains The Matrix of Leadership in his own body, which pretty much gives him a new, bigger, more powerful and more advanced body and still have it after returning his ancestor's spark back to his body. Megaton did the same thing in "Master Blaster" by putting the spark of his own ancestor, the original Megatron into his own body, which also gives him a new and more powerful body and have his Beast Mode evolved from a T-Rex to a dragon that breathes both fire and ice. The original Megatron's spark wasn't returned to his body until the final episode of Beast Wars by Optimus Primal after he defeated Megatron II and before he and the surviving Maximals leave Earth to Cybertron, along with Megatron II as prisoner. That scene with Optimus Primal returning the original Megatron's spark was deleted out for some reason. That scene never aired on TV.

Silverbot is half wolf and half eagle because his pod along with Quickstrike's pod have a malfunction making hybrids of two animals in their Beast Mode. But Silverbolt was more properly scanned in Beast Machines when he was in Jetstorm's body and reformatted and his Beast Mode becomes all bird.

This was over 20 years ago. It was the 2nd ever fully CGI series ever made and likely done on Windows 95 era machines. It was impressively cutting edge for the time.
