don't sleep on the endurance - probably the best mining ship. Put an ORE miner on it, a cloak and something else. Add drone damage to take out some of bs rats if you have good drone skills. You can even put a nice tank on it or add relic modules - lots of choices.

Aligning to a celestial doesn't help you warp faster unless you're actively moving toward it; if you're at 0.0m/s you're effectively not aligned. Now, something fancy with speed-slowing mods like Higgs Anchors could allow for constantly being aligned while mining without immediately flying out of beam range.

Huffing gas is more profitable.

Gas is more profitable on a per m3 level, but with gas huffing you need to take the time to get into wormhole space, scan down a cloud, and then depending on your method you may only get a short period of time to huff until the NPCs or a player show up and you have to warp out. Ice has the benefit of typically being easier to find with less setup time.

ok so ive played for about 14yrs. Straight into a null sec alliance with my friend who got me started. 4 alts for mining who mine in HS and null. never lost a jump freighter or my hs freighter. lost 1 retriever to gankers in hs this whole time. Listening to this guy made me feel like HS is more dangerous than null, Maybe it is and i just havent spent enough time there idk.

High sec is 100% more dangerous then null sec lol, intell channel with all the eyes, unless your distracted you can get off gride before they show up

unless you have no other choice definitely join a mining fleet instead of solo mining. MUCH better yields, compression and you'll make a lot of isk very fast. Now that i look back at it I don't think I'd ever solo mine. If there are no mining fleets available do agent missions until some come online. But yeah, imo never solo mine

Once you have tasted command boosts and compression, solo mining suddenly becomes the biggest waste of time and life ever. I just run a two man team of Porpoise and Mac, works nicely for me. Both with 63k+ EHP and stay frosty.

Yep, just ventures for Alphas. Sorry mate. Pretty sure that decision was a balance issue to prevent the market being flooded by ore from alpha mining barge operators and tanking the price of ore for all the other miners. You can still do okay with a venture if you're willing to take a short at cloud huffing and you're quick to warp out, so check that out.

I'd advise to get as many alts mining as possible. Yes, you can make it alpha-friendly, but you get so much more by taking it Omega. I have people in my Corp who run 10-15 character fleets & Plex their Omega.

why tho? so the way the math works is like this 1 account mining makes lets say 10m per hour 2 accounts 20m per hour 3 accounts 30m or 50m i assume boosts would be big every account after the 3rd account just means you need to make another 2.4 billion isk to plex but it only adds the 15-20m per hour you dont make more money per hour per character after the 3rd

@@kinsgaming8197 I disagree with your math. I have Corpmates who field 10+ accounts & suck down 3-bil anoms in under an hour. Also, more accounts means 2 other chars for other purposes - PI, Industry, ratting. Finally, it's fairly quick & easy to max skill a mining alt. Once that happens, the account can skill farm.

(Let me say this, if i die to NPC rats or PvP in HIGH SEC....THAT IS OK) I earned my first mining barge and was well aware you are never safe in EVE, ok fine, If some players want to kill me in High sec that is fine. So i paid CCP for 3 months of omega and for the first two months was really enjoying mining in EVE. Then one day an NPC attacked me as all rats do, launched my fighters and immediately was warp scrambled by the NPC, a little concerned i also noticed my shields gone almost instantly... and my drones were doing absolutely no damage to this things shields. With now my armor almost gone i realized this thing was going to kill my ship and it did. Pros told me "Oh yeah those are called Dimond NPCs" I asked what dose it take to kill them and they said "Oh TONS of players and you have to kill their base in your system as well" So CCP made high sec NPCs that kill new players who can't defend themselfs....its blows up your ships for no reason? Yep.... So at this point lost 100% interest in mining and EVE in general. A GOD tier NPC that kills new players in high sec is a joke. (Mind you that was 1 that locked onto me, there were 6 more that didn't) So yeah....EVE was fun while it lasted but im just letting my Omega run out, and i won't be renewing it. Was fun for 2 months though so that's something i guess. o7

It's an event that can spawn in a system. I had the same thing happen to me, got my Naga and sniped them into oblivion for killing my 4 miners. Lol Problem is yeah there wasn't any real way to tell this was a special NPC. It looked just like a normal NPC, which was annoying.

i lost 2 orcas and 10 hulks to one of them spawns, its not that eve designed them to kill new players its to add danger to the enviroment and remind players that the game isnt safe. sad to see a single ship loss make it so you dont play anymore the players who you spoke to dont seem to be the ones you should be hanging with

@@SilentObserver966 CCP made Diamond NPCS, and "GOD" tier NPC's that CANNOT be killed by a single/5/10 players is not "Content" Again CCP made these and they are NOT fun at all, they just destroy high sec players and serve zero purposes to the game. Eve was fun for 2 months, and i would give CCP more money for another few months if those Dimonds didn't exist but im not having it. PvP and PvE is fine with out diamonds. Until then, 2 months was my eve legacy :3

Others find content in killing my ships, content is content your either the content or enjoying it. Diamond rats are a fool me once and are content to fight and win against. I have killed there spawns and destroyed there base with a single ship it's very easily done and is very well documented on KZbin and in forums. Don't let npcs troll you out of a game that's been a part of many people's lives for over a decade 07

@@EzahninFierceMBT Yep, although in my case I'm running procurers. It's the running from the bear principle: I don't have to be invulnerable to ganking, I just have to be more difficult to gank than the other guy. :P
