Thank you for putting this full portrait painting tutorial up. It will help a lot who are beginning how to paint. Whether it's acrylic, oil, or digital painting. Hopefully people seriously watch this video. It will be that spark that clicks for them for sure. There were MANY YT channels I watched to find useful info, this one was the main one I go back to!

Your works always touch people's hearts. The girl's eyes in this oil painting are full of stories, as if she is telling her joys and sorrows right in front of me. This is truly an indescribable beauty. "

I vacillate between realism and abstract. Getting back in to realism in southwest landscapes. I needed this lesson to make my cliff frontage glow. Thank you so much for taking your time to share.

Paint coach your videos are amazing and helpful. I wish there was somebody like you on KZbin who only teaches about acrylic painting.

Just began doing landscapes. A deer looks like a horse or sometimes a cow. I am going to give this a try. An eye just a 16th of an inch or a millimeter or so, how ever you measure, off can blow the whole thing. Starts out well and slowly starts heading toward Pablo Picasso land.

Hi Chris, this is a great video! I would love to watch a video on how to paint looser. I always like the loose style, but for me it is hard not to paint every detail I see.

Always be standing away from your canvas. If you can't see the details you won't paint them

Once i painted an abstract painting and started to see nicolas cage faces everywhere forming out of the blobs of paint, it was so weird that i discarded that painting. Such a weird coincidence to see an actual painting looking just what i had visualized years ago. 😂👍

One thing that the coach didn't mention: Notice how he left lots of space around the head. A head that fills the canvas diminishes the importance of the subject. It's as though the sitter does not warrant the expense of a comfortable space. Good portrait painters never bump the sitter's head on the top of the canvas.

Do you have any recommendations or videos about painting setups? Im a beginner painter but lifelong artist. I find that its difficult to find the motivation to paint when there seem to be so many materials to set up. Im used to leaving my drawing materials on a desk and simply sitting and getting to work, but the time it takes to set up for painting has held me back from doing regular studies. I live in a tiny home so its a struggle. I dont know if im using too many materials, or if im overthinking it, but if you have a way to lay out a painting set up for easy use and minimal space, i would appreciate any tips. Thanks for your incredible videos! They always motivate me to paint.

Color mixing is my problem.
@SigmaAirplaneBalls4 ай бұрын
My art teacher recommended me to use a blank paper sheet with a small hole, you can hold the hole over the reference picture for the color you want to mix. The white sheet of paper helps you separate the color from its surroundings and it can help you mix it more accurately
