I'm liking the Nightbringer for attacking the opponent's natural. He is slow and has to walk over there, but it's a threat your opponent has to answer, or else he will just sweep through the whole flank. Like in this example, the World Eaters would have to come out and charge him. They have the ability to kill him, but now they are sitting out in the open, and if you spike FNPs or your opponent low rolls, maybe he even survives. Even if they do kill him, you have dug out the unit and can follow up with damage or denial with like Tomb Blades. If they are staging a unit of trash there, they will have no answer and now your opponent has to redirect their resources to deal with him.

I always put him in reserves and rapid ingress him. Unless your opponent pushed up that flank really far it usually gets him closer than him moving on turn 1 and stop them from lining up shots to weaken him before he gets into melee. Then on your turn you just move him 6" and make the 3" charge.

It is a fair play, but there are a lot of things in the meta that will take care of him out in the open easily, but if its working for you cant knock it

@@PNW40K That is why I feel the Rapid Ingress is so important for him. You get to place him in the safest location closest to the enemy. There are plenty of things that can kill a C'tan but if you RI him so they can't shoot him with those units he is much more survivable. Alternatively, if they moved to kill a specific unit and you RI him near that unit now they need to decide if trying to shoot and kill the Nightbringer is worth not killing what they were originally gunning for. I don't think he should be in every list but if he is in your list he should be in Reserves because RI just keeps him safe and is a lot of extra movement for such a slow unit.

5th thing; trying to keep exposure to a minimum and not over extend. Source; Got my beastboys + boss blown to shit after trying to score and secure an objective :P

Necrons ftw! :) Thanks for your videos. Little feedback that Crucible of Battle is an unique layout, where you can score Containment fully in the top left corner with two units in this case. (one is doing it top side, one is doing it left side) No need to sacrifice your Lokhust Destroyer.

You are totally right haha that cheeky corner, same thing with tipping point on the weak side can contain behind the wall in your DZ

Thanks so much for the video! Do you play any 1kpt / 1250pt games? If you ever have the time I'd love to hear your thoughts on lists and tactics for awakened dynasty at this point level. Coverage and objective control against Cult/Orks has been a real struggle. I'm not nailing the balance between investing in characters, anchor units and utility units

Hey man, still love the content and soaking everything up! Just a quick question: most armys dont have the ability to rapid in turn 4 and 5, so i guess only turn 3 needs to be screened for home objective right? Playing against nids atm so was wondering if i missed something

Hey hey! Glad you are here! Great question, I was referring to my up/down unit Ophidians, that could drop in the backfield late game maybe.

@PNW40K I've guessed so, alrighty, thanks for the clarification. And yeah, scouts and assassins are a thing so needless to say that there's a lot less headache without those units

How would you deploy vs space wolves? How would turn 1,2 and 3 look like for you?
